We ate at the 10th Hole Bar and Grill this evening and we all walked away marveling over our delicious meal. Four of us chose the 2 piece basket and one of us took the walleye. We were so stuffed and very pleased. When ever we come back to Iowa, we will be sure to make this one our stops to eat!

Nice coutry club setting. We tried the build your own chicken sandwich with sweet fries. They have a great bloody Mary that pairs well with the pivo they have on tap. We’ll definitely be back.

We recently visited and while the food was decent, the service was disappointing. When I asked what kind of soda was available, our server wasn’t sure and mentioned she was new—which I understand—but instead of asking someone, she just stared at me. She also seemed unsure about what items were on the menu.

When the bill arrived, I noticed a $2 charge for an extra soda. I asked about it and was told they charge for refills, but the menu clearly stated the first refill is free. When I pointed this out, the server responded with a smirk rather than an apology or any effort to correct the mistake.

It’s not about the $2—it’s about the overall experience. Staff should be trained and prepared to provide basic customer service. Unfortunately, this visit missed the mark in that regard.

Great food and atmosphere. Has hotel rooms and also golf course. Winter time you can even take the kiddos to go sledding on the golf course

Are there for dinner only about 6 couples in the restraunt. It was clean and a nice view. Service was close to awful. Slow night with 3 waitresses, before I ordered 2 of said waitresses got into an argument over which table was who’s. Had to go out of my way and ask a different waitress for a refill due to mine not seeing the empty glass or offering. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Shrimp pasta which comes with a salad bar. The salad bar was very good, but the shrimp was grey color hard and the pasta hardly edible. Hope next time is better service and will try something else.

The restaurant is clean & has beautiful views. It is pricey. We could tell right away that the server was very new as it was clear he didn’t know the menu. I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich w/au jus & fries. My husband ordered the walleye. My entire meal was very salty & my fries were over cooked. My husband’s walleye & fries were over cooked, the fish was borderline burnt. We waited a long time for our second round drinks & both of us were done with our meals by the time they finally arrived. Do not recommend as it is not worth the high prices.

Well considering we eat here 1 or more times a month. Cheese balls and pizza are the only thing. Chicken bacon ranch is great! We ordered taco and it was nasty tasted old and not even hamburger. Today we all have upset stomachs and diarrhea! Absolutely don’t order any hamburger it’s not real beef. I tried telling them on there site and they just deleted my comment instead of asking about it! I don’t complain about food because well I love food. Lol. But when it’s bad and you pay a fortune for it and kids get diarrhea people should know about it! Not only that the owners are very disrespectful. The motel is also dirty. I suggest staying in Osage Iowa! Don’t give this place any business.

Nice establishment and dining area was clean. We got there early so they were not busy. Tried the Friday night fish fry all you can eat. Battered only which the server described as a light batter. Batter was pretty thick, doughy in the inside, and fish wasn’t cooked through. Fries were way over cooked. Noodles in the vegetable soup had turned to mush. Best part was the small salad bar.

I ate here once a few years back: the food wasn’t very good. I also attended a graduation party with hamburgers catered by this place: it wasn’t too bad, pretty much an average, decent hamburger. There is a salad bar, so you really can’t go wrong there. I’d be willing to give it another try if I’m forced to eat in Riceville again, but there are certainly better options within a 20-30 minute drive. The waitress was okay if I remember correctly, but I wouldn’t call that a positive or a negative of this establishment, though they have had a few sketchy employees in the past. When I was there, they had a nice and interesting variety of different foods, though the quality wasn’t great. Overall, the restaurant is way over-glorified, and many people around the town either have bad taste, or they are huge “homers”.

The building is very nice on the inside. The outside doesnt look like much from the road, the parking lot was gravel, I assume they will be putting in a parking lot but cant be sure. I ordered the 8 oz. sirloin special it had a good medley of steamed veggies, taste was a little different, but decent. The sirloin was very good, texture was great. I needed a little A1 sauce. But overall was rather tasety. The salad bar was horrible. Shredded lettuce, I liked how they had their dressing in pourable containers though, I think the pricing is a little high. They were just changeing over to new menus, so the waitress did not really know to much about the specials, both the waitresses were super polite and very attentive to our needs. There was an issue with some things said in the kitchen and I made my thoughts known to them. A gentleman came out and sincerely apologized for the issue. They also offered my wife a free cheesecake on the house. The place was very clean and looked newly remodeled in the bathroom. I think the prices are again a little too high, but I will go back again and see if things have gotten better on the new menu. God bless. Thank you for serving us!
