We stopped for brunch on a Thursday. They were not busy and we were seated immediately. We chose the outdoor seating and the views of the harbor are wonderful. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the oyster eggs Benedict. It came with potatoes and fruit. My wife had the fish and chips. My wife said the fish and chips were very good. My Benedict was also good, although the eggs were overpoached. I like the yolks runny, mine were hard. Still it was tasty. The weather was nice and we just enjoyed the moment for a while. All in all, a relaxing meal.

A prior review accurately reflected our experience. There appears to be a decline in either kitchen execution or management oversight. We recently ordered the flounder, which was served deep-fried rather than pan-fried as requested and was significantly overcooked—dark, dry, and difficult to eat due to the meat adhering to the bones.

Service was mediocre, with the explanation that the kitchen was busy and timing was off. A manager never appeared, despite being informed, and chose not to engage. With many better seafood options available, we will not be returning.

I had a great experience at Ella’s on the Water. The crab cake was delicious—fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My French 75 was mixed to perfection, light and refreshing.

The restaurant sits right on the marina, and the views were absolutely amazing. Between the food, the drinks, and the scenery, it was such a relaxing and enjoyable meal. I’ll definitely be back!

A beautiful place on the water. We got a crab cake as an appetizer. It was tiny and there was too much breading. The Oysters Rockefeller were ok but it seemed the cheese on top wasn’t fresh as it didn’t melt. The surf and turf was fantastic, the ribeye was as well. The tuna entree was loved, as well as the short ribs entree. Our server was ok, just going through the motions.

Delaney our server was excellent and we enjoyed the ambiance on the quiet Monday night we felt we had the full attention of the restaurateurs. Food was exceptional and we now have Elas in our top 2 favs on HHI!

We had the crispy flounder. It was excellent flavor wise but was not piping hot. Dining experience was very nice however it took way too long to get our ticket. Then we had another long wait for the charge ticket. Definitely put a damper on the evening. And, the big BEWARE, is the internet menu prices are significantly less than the real charge you get at the restaurant. They also charge you to use your credit card. We also purchased a gift certificate for a family member. So, it was a surprisingly pricey night.

We had the most amazing brunch at Ella‘s on Tuesday. I love that they serve brunch on weekdays, not just Sunday. It’s great when my husband wants breakfast and I want lunch. The food is excellent, the view is exceptional, and we love the manager. They have great Benedict’s and omlettes if you are in a breakfast mood. If you are in a lunch mood, they have a great lobster bisque, excellent salads, and my husband claims they have the best fish and chips on the island. They’re open for brunch Monday through Friday 11 to 2.

Reserved for a birthday. Told us a table by the window. When we got there, they tried to put us in a back corner booth. After sitting at the bar waiting well after our reserved time, we were seated at a dirty table! They cleaned the food off the tablecloth as we sat there?! Surf/turf: super salty lobster like rubber (over-cooked). Horrible really. Steak over cooked and dry (not like any rib eye I’ve ever had). Never followed up or asked if we liked anything–or I would have sent it back. Scallops were good. Didn’t offer a saucer for the tea bag, nor a sweetener so I dug in my purse to find some. Never a Happy Birthday or acknowledgment of our occasion. Unfriendly people. Awkward service.. Didn’t ask if I’d like a glass of wine, was walking away before I even finished ordering. Food definitely not worth the big price tag. Will not return.
