My family and I have lived in gresham for years and never tried this place, and i’m so disappointed We didn’t do it sooner.
The absolute best pepperoni pizza I have had in years.
Hands down best in town. One hundred percent recommend. Will one hundred percent return.
Unfortunately, I did not get any photos. I was too hungry and immediately noticed it was going to be good pizza and devoured every single bite, even the pepper that fell off the pizza i picked up and ate because it had pizza residue left on it.
Once the meal was over and I was outside i look back at the flying pie pizzeria, sign and recognized greatness……. i will return.
Oh, I did randomly get a picture of the coolest mirror in the world on their wall, and I would totally buy that. If somebody wanted to sell it to me!

Great crust! We tried two different pizzas, the Miss Piggy and the Shake & Bake, plus a calzone. All were good, the BBQ pizza (Shake & Bake) was great! Plenty of toppings on all pizzas, the sausage on the Piggy is really good but the Canadian Bacon or ham was cut too thick.
Pizzas take a little time but are worth the wait.
Atmosphere is casual and was not loud inside (Monday evening 12/30/25) so our group of six could sit and talk easily.
Staff was super friendly and service was great.

Flying Pie has been a family favorite for years, they make a great pizza (come hungry) loaded with fresh topping, and lots of them. Always a great experience. Staff is always personable and cares about the customer and their product.

I don’t know if it’s family run but it feels family run. Very laid-back when we went. The place is very clean. We met up with some of my kids friends for birthday pizza and the good food came fairly quickly and the pieces that we received were very delicious and had a very friendly amount of toppings. Will come back and recommend to others .

I’ve been going to FP since they opened in Gresham. Over the last few years the ambience on Friday and Saturday nights made going out for pizza fun, we’ve even taken out-of-town guests to enjoy the novelty and good vibes. The pizza makers were clearly enjoying their job, sometimes we sang along, which created something special. Tonight our decision to go to FP was in part because the singing pizza makers added a human touch by their singing, but learned that they don’t sing anymore, to add the disappointment they had smooth jazz playing. I don’t know about you, but smooth jazz in a family pizza joint doesn’t cut it. I did request a change and they did, but honestly it was a local radio with ads, so there’s that. The curated music and voices singing along that were coming out of the kitchen will be sorely missed by us and will influence our choice to go back. We’ll miss Karen, she’s been a longtime employee who is attuned to her guests’ needs and has been a reliably helpful member of the team. The pizza is good as is the salad bar, but in a sea of great pizza in Portland, Flying Pie held an edge by their fun crew, I’m not sure it’s enough to bring us back.

What a Pizza! There were 6 of us, so we ordered the 18″ combo #2, a pizza so thick with toppings we couldn’t finish it. It was a busy Saturday night and it took 45 mins before we got our pizza. In the mean time, we drank beer and we each took a 1x trip to the salad bar for a bowl of greens. In hindsight, we should’ve saved room for more pizza. It was an inch thick with 3 kinds of meat and veggies. Boy was it delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

I’m honestly highly disappointed, this place was mentioned in a gresham Facebook group regarding best pizza in gresham so I decided to try this place as it was next on my pizza place reviews. With being the one of the top reccomended places I had my hopes up. Service was great, staff was enjoyable to talk too, but the pizza was a joke. $30 for a pepperoni pizza that tastes like papa Murphys with the texture and chew of a Lil ceasers pizza. Even the garlic addition didn’t help it. Plenty of toppings which gave an extra star but that was the only thing helping the lack of flavor and terrible texture. My last review was LoLos boss pizza which ranked lower amongst the local gresham people, although ranked lower, In my experience was a much better pie. I give flying pie a 5.8 on the portnoy scale. The pizza is okay, I wouldn’t drive to it, I probably wouldn’t even think about this place again, but if it was at a party or someone had already ordered some yes I’d eat it again. But you won’t find me looking for a flying pie, I’m giving this place a flying goodbye.

The toppings are great here!! Their sausage and pepperoni have a nice kick of spice! They have a very yummy taco pizza that is one of our favorites! And the salad bar is very well stocked with a wide assortment of fresh toppings!
