I had a bad experience with this location. I came there 12/1/2025 around 11pm to order. i had to go back to the store to get the tenders replaced because they looked like the ones in the picture. Yes i went back to the store and they gave me these pathetic tenders. The guy putting the chicken in the boxes looked over at me, and proceeded to pick the chicken like it definitely appeared intentional to give me these pathetic tenders twice. They were ALL thin and all batter. Also the chicken legs appeared like wings. Don’t support this place, there is a Food Lion across the street. Cook your food at home.

The young lady who helped me today, Ms.LiLi , was absolutely amazing! She literally checked the order before handing it over and saw it was missing a sandwich and could have EASILY just gave it to me and moved on, because I was working a DoorDash order, but instead after seeing everyone busy, she went to the back and made the sandwich herself, finished packing it up and handed it to me. I just thought that was above and beyond and you don’t normally see that in fast food. So I just wanted to give her a shoutout on doing a good job! This was my second visit. My first visit the food was nice and hot. Yesterday I ordered the 3 tender basket and my food was quite hard even the fries were old. I didn’t care to even have them remake it because I was on a quick lunch. It’s really unfortunate that some places still operate like this but maybe this review will encourage more training.

To whom this may concern to I came to your restaurant to order the big box meal and I had an unpleasant experience I went to the store on 12149 us route 1 Chester,Va . General manger there is x’zavis Jackson. I went through the drive thru and the young girl at the window seems like she was having a bad day. I was with my gf and she wanted to get extra sauce because we had 3 tender boxes. The girl at the window over heard and quickly became the “sauce police” stating one source Per box. I knew I had to pay for it but her sarcastic tone stating “you going to have to pay for it” threw me off. I already paid for the meal if it wasn’t for that I would have just cancel the order due to her attitude. She kept making up prices of the sauces . She held my food bag hostage until I gave her 45 cent for the sauces even though I already pay for my food. It was very uncomfortable. I’ve been going to Popeyes for a long time but sorry this is true you guys employees always have attitudes but I least I can expect the food to be good. Welp not today. When me and my gf open the box we found that we fit raw chicken and gave the order back for a refund. I already consume one tender so hopefully the one I ate was not raw but it was a bad experience.

Never got to the food due to the manager’s attitude and lack of staff organization.
We stopped in to pick up lunch around 11:30 AM. I placed an order for 2 chicken filet sandwiches. After 5 minutes I was told that they were out and it would take 15 minutes before any would be ready. Another server said it would only be 7-8 minutes after being prepped. I asked how long they had been out and only got laughter. I asked for a substitution. Since there was plenty of cooked chicken in the other bins.
I asked for the manager, who came forward and was visibly pissed. He said I had 2 options…wait or get a refund. I took my refund and went across the street to BOJANGLES where I was treated properly and we had an excellent meal with quick polite service.

First time at this new location in Chester, VA – but was so impressed by the staff behind the counter and cooks in back! They were very busy filling orders and knocking it out of the park! Food was hot and delicious too!

Got 16 pc family meal, chicken has shrunk to under 1/4″ thick and 2-3″ long at best. The smallest chicken stripe i have ever seen. Restaurant is clean, staff was fast.

I placed an online order family bundle with 4 fries 2 sandwiches and 2 six piece wings I get there pick the order up go to car check I’m missing half my order after I waited 20 minutes go inside told them what I was missing it took and additional 27 minutes to get my 2 six piece wings I was polite and patient the whole time I myself work in fast food so I asked if I could get a Mac and cheese because I waited 47 minutes for my order they said we don’t do that here (well y’all don’t give people the food they pay for ether but ) I said ok well can I get my 4 fries replaced with new ones since they are almost an hour old they dumped them out and gave me fries that had been sitting there since I returned the second time …cold sandwiches…cold fries…one cold order of wings because they had enough for that one but not the rest so I had to wait for the other six piece that was the only thing that was fresh and it took 47 minutes to do so….I was just going to air fry my cold fries that’s how nice I am I just wanted my food but you couldn’t even give me cup of Mac and cheese for my hour wait and be flat out rude about it then get mad because I want new fries like I said I would’ve just warmed them up myself but damn no apology just rude and they weren’t even busy they were just standing around I could’ve even understood if they were busy like I said I work fast food too this was definitely the worst
