Stopped in for dinner and was very impressed overall. The potato pancakes were excellent and cooked perfectly and served hot. The pastrami sandwich was loaded with meat, and the amount of pastrami on it was great. I ordered the brisket sandwich, and the brisket was sliced thin, which I love on a sandwich. It wasn’t fatty at all and had a nice texture.

My only complaint is both buns for the sandwiches came out cold. They didn’t have much flavor or warmth. In my opinion, they would have been much better slightly toasted.

The service was outstanding, he was so nice and attentive! Thanks John

I ordered the corned beef sandwich with french fries and a pickle spear. I received a thick stack of corned beef which was nice. The corned beef had more fat in it than I like. The french fries were not cooked enough. I could tell by the color then confirmed when I bit into them. The french fries did not have the crunchy texture although they were seasoned well. I received great service at the bar. The restaurant has a fun vibe to it. They have a very large parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Stopped in for a happy hour for drinks and appetizers. The bar tender was a lot of fun and was very creative with the drinks. The food was quickly prepared and served too. It was a great location to meet up at before dinner.

I look forward to another visit when I’m in town.

Loved our first visit to Lester’s. Our server, JoAnne, was a real gem! The atmosphere is definitely sports and is also very comfortable. Lots of cozy booths and tables for larger groups. It smelled incredible but we were there for pastrami and potato pancakes. They were both outstanding.
Lots of beers on tap and menu large enough to make everyone happy. We’ll be back.

We’ve been going to Lester’s for years. My whole family. The food is AMAZING. The service knows us by name. The BBQ brisket salad with onion rings on top with ranch and barbecue sauce is YUMMY! I recommend Lester’s. My whole family loves the place. Top notch!

We love Lester’s and have been going there for years. However, the last two times have been terrible. We ordered corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. It was mainly just all gristle and fat for both sandwiches (awful). We had to throw the sandwiches away. They must be buying the cheapest meat possible.

Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Sharon was our waitress. Barbecued pork steaks were unreal. Must do if you’re in StL!

Tons of TVs, open floorplan so lots of tables, definitely crowded when we went for Saturday lunch so was pretty loud.
Was craving burgers and pastrami and they had both so we tried them. Started with the half pound wings buffalo style, these were large and had great flavor, will definitely get those again!
Pastrami was excellent, we got the 10oz and it was no joke. You add your own mustard, I personally like pickle slices so I used the ones for the hamburger. They give you a spear with the sandwich, but I just don’t want to take a bite put down the sandwich then take a bite of pickle, so just my quirk there.
The black and blue burger was good, bacon is nicely cooked and they offer your option of cooking temp for the burger. They have shoestring fries which were great. Tried the onion rings, good flavor but A bit greasy, so didn’t finish those. Service was great, super friendly server, very knowledgeable.
Will come back for sure.

Amazing. Our waiter John was super. He kept our table clean, was prompt and attentive with very nice personality. Food was amazing for the price. Quality ingredients, fresh beer on tap. Fun environment. Family friendly too. We sat in a booth that was oversized with no rubby elbows.

I have been to Lester’s a few times while visiting my family in St Louis. It is a decent sports bar and a great place to catch whatever game you are trying to watch. However, the food has never blown me away.

I went with my sister and her son and they were very accommodating and gave us a booth. Service is always friendly and quick. They also were quick to give my nephew an ice water with a top on it, which pleased him.

My sister got the Buffalo Chicken wrap which was pretty big and looked delicious. My nephew got the kids mini burgers with fries (the fries were amazing). I got a half Caesar salad and the chili. Both were fine but not amazing.

I also got some Sour Pickles as a starter. They were not good. I prefer a Kosher Dill and these just weren’t all that good.

All in all, this place is decent, especially if you are looking for sports. However, I think there are probably better places in St Louis.
