Addy’s BBQ in Elmont, NY is a halal spot with a welcoming vibe and friendly service. We ordered the Chili Cheese Fries, which were decent; the Jalapeño Poppers had good heat but lacked crispiness; the Chicken Mishkaki was flavorful and tender, probably the highlight; and the Rib-eye Steak was okay…..juicy enough but nothing extraordinary. Portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. However, the food is nowhere close to the Addy’s BBQ in Edison, NJ…..it’s just not on the same level in terms of boldness and execution. If you’re in the area and craving halal BBQ, it’s worth a try, but manage your expectations if you’ve been to the NJ location.

Tried this place for the first time on a snowy day. The place was empty due to the weather so we asked to sit in the booth but they said it’s reserved for people but the place was empty and no one had came as they said it was reserved for even when we left. The food wasn’t hot was arrived and the flavors were bland. There was a fly flying around the food as well. When press the service request on the app it only worked once and was waiting and waiting but seem they were more busy with drinking chai and talking on their phone. Finally when I called out to them they came after 4 times trying. I wouldn’t recommend this place the service is bad and they over charged you without telling you anything.

We got a few different kinds of dishes here and the only dishes I’d say that were worth it were the steaks and baby lamb chops. The burger was average and the tenders were below average. Overall I feel the price was way overpriced vs the quality of the food. The one thing that really annoyed me was that they put on a “standard 18% gratuity fee” even if we were a smaller group of 5. I understand when it’s used for larger groups but I feel it’s rude for a smaller group.
The service was good and friendly and I really appreciated that they served Salam Cola.
Overall I’d only recommend coming here for a budget-friendly steak.

I’ve been driving by this spot for a long time not even really knowing what it is. I thought it was what I know as traditional barbeque. What I found was halal style and it was very good. The lamb shank has beautiful zing in its seasoning and the short ribs were a bit tangy and melted like butter. Oh what an unexpected treat. The biryani was simply trash and delicious.
The other treat was the brothers in the place; sweet spirits. I enjoyed connecting them. Quite a pleasure for a quick bite and way more healthful that the other go to’s for quick bites. I’ll go back again…..rich, fresh, beautifully seasoned….just nice.

We arrived half an hour before closing but still had a welcome.
I ordered Mac n cheese with beef bacon, usually, I am not a mac n cheese fan, but that day I really wanted to eat Mac n Cheese, what a good choice, it tasted so good, hot and cheesy.
Buffalo chicken wings were hot and spicy(my spicy level) very satisfied.
Short ribs, tender and juicy, but we can’t finish it, too much food.
Overall, I like their food, and the restaurant is clean.

This place seems to position itself as a halal alternative to American burger and steak joints, with higher prices to match, which I understand given the costs of running a restaurant. But if you’re charging $21 for a burger and a handful of small fries, the quality and taste should match the price. Serving pre-cooked patties and buns from a restaurant depot doesn’t cut it. The burger tasted worse than fast food, and the steak came out well-done despite me specifying medium-well three times. Overall, the food was mediocre, service was okay, the prices were too high. Save your time and money – Firestone Pizza nearby offers better taste and value. Or for an American halal-style meal, try Gosht in Brooklyn if you don’t mind the drive.

This is incredible. I always feel as if I’m so casual but they made me feel casual. If you know what I mean I hope you don’t know what I mean but I hope you do because I want you guys to love this place as much as I do because I love this place they just know how to cook everything perfect. Their mozzarella sticks are to die for The burgers. The chicken sandwich is actually top-tier best chicken sandwiches on Long Island. I must say I say a lot of stuff, but this this is something I say with my heart and soul in my values attached onto it as if it was my will going down you know what I mean, you know what I mean You know I’m going up. After seeing reviews went and was highly disappointed.
Tried Lucy burger which was supposed to be jesszy but was nothing but that. More fat than meat in the patty. Buns were crumbling as if they were old or expired. I told the waiter to check the expiry he went and never updated but was there for the bill.
The place was neat and clean but a total waste of hard earned money.
Not recommended.

We hosted my daughter’s first birthday, our second event with them in the past 3 years, and had an amazing experience!
Food was fresh and super tasty! Our guests were delighted and complimented the food, the venue, and the decor!
The owner is super nice and humble and everything is reasonably priced.
Would highly recommend! Looking forward to doing our future events here IA!
