The design here is completely authenti, from the carpets and lanterns to the decorative plates on the walls and all the other details. The lady in charge was very warm, and when we asked for Turkish music, they played a set of beautiful nostalgic songs that made the atmosphere even nicer. Their soups tasted like the little backstreets of Istanbul. The food was very delicious and truly hit the spot. If I come back to this city again, I will definitely return here.

Went for a company holiday luncheon, and absolutely loved both the food and atmosphere. The warm homemade bread, extensive Sampler Platter made the Combination Kabobs (lamb and beef) hard to finish, but somehow I did. The meal was finished with a hot turkish coffee. Top notch!

Quite disappointed in the food and service. We were the only patrons when we arrived. One person sat us, one poured water and another took our order but despite 3 people, service was very very slow. The bread was good as was the chicken shish kabobs, but the chicken was served with plain white soggy rice and overcooked canned green beans. Prices were extremely high for the low quality of food.

We were so excited to try Café Istanbul while visiting Ohio because we’ve heard so many great things about the food and to be fair, the food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience for us.
From the start, our waiter approached the table with no greeting, no eye contact, and the first thing he said was, “Do you have any questions?” no introduction, no friendliness. I had planned to ask him for recommendations, but his tone and lack of hospitality completely threw me off.
We placed our orders, including an appetizer. He just said “Okay” and left. He didn’t return until he dropped off all of our food at once appetizer and main dishes together. While serving, he asked where we were from. When my husband answered, he replied, “Yeah, I can tell.” This was uncalled for and made things even more uncomfortable. After that, he disappeared.
There was no checking on us, no offer for drinks, no attempt to make the experience better. When we finished, we waited and waited to pay, making eye contact with him multiple times while he walked around chatting with other tables. My husband had to get up and find someone else just to pay. Only then did the waiter come over, drop off boxes without a word, and leave.
The table next to us had an amazing experience with their waitress she was warm, friendly, and attentive. So it’s not the restaurant overall; it’s the person serving us. This level of attitude and lack of professionalism should not exist in customer service.

Great food. Waiter was a bit laid back, but did his job. Kind of like having your brother wait on you. Did everything right but a bit indifferent. The food was wonderful. We have never had a meal that was less than great. The decor and fixtures could use a bit of love, but everything looks and feels clean. Prices are excellent for the food you receive. We keep coming back for more.

This is my second time having Cafe Istanbul, first at this location. Every bit as good as the first time at the Dublin location. I had the kabob combination with chicken and lamb. The grilled flavor was perfect. The bread was AMAZING (get the hummus to go with it). Friendly and conversational staff.

The Beef Tenderloin Shish Kebab (Medium) is always perfectly tender, the Adana Kebab has an ideal balance of heat and flavor, the basmati rice is always fluffy and fragrant, and the flatbread is fresh, warm, and crispy.
In the Appetizer Sampler, I especially love their hummus and eggplant dip — the best I’ve ever had.
Whether dining in or ordering delivery, the food is consistently excellent.

Me, my husband and 2 kids decided to try this place we normally do not go to any restaurants but I was like let me give them a try and see how it was. We ordered their family platter which was 115 or 100 and something dollars it’s supposed to be coming with rice and meat. The food was such a disappointment. There was no rice just a little rice underneath the pan, you couldn’t even scoop it out for my older son. It was so greasy when I tell you greasy it was just oily. It was so unhealthy for you to actually eat or to consume it. We spend a total of $210 at this place. It’s not even worth the amount we paid we were so disappointed in the food so much that I cannot even explain it or put it into words. This is gonna be the last time I’m visiting this place we normally go to lavash cafe and when I tell you, this restaurant is the best if you’re thinking of taking your family out for a family meal, please visit this place and you will never be disappointed.
