Visited here while returning to the KC area for Thanksgiving. Always love trying out of the way BBQ restaurants and Brobeck’s doesn’t disappoint. Right off I-435 and Roe. Table service is excellent, authentic and down to earth decor. Burnt ends are amazing, probably the best I have had. Being the day after Thanksgiving, I tried the salad option to at least give the illusion of being healthy. I look forward to coming back next time I’m in town.

The BBQ trails continues. Me and the boys tried a BBQ restaurant that only one of us had been to before, Brobeck’s in leawood Kansas. As I have mentioned before I respect a these brave entrepreneurs who open a BBQ restaurant in this fiercely competitive market that is Kansas City. That said the reviews were strong here that is why I chose to try them. The location is good with plenty of parking. My friends both ordered the burnt end sandwich and enjoyed it very much , I also tried it and I agree, it was a good choice. The fries were also excellent. Unfortunately my brisket sandwich was dry as could be and was very disappointing. The beans were also unremarkable. I did enjoy the sauces and service. It’s difficult to stand out and in this market like I’ve mentioned. Since the reviews were so strong I can honestly say that I’m happy that Brobeck’s has found and audience.

Finally tried this place on a Friday night and we were not disappointed! Immediately grabbed a booth and the server was over to us quickly. The ham salad is phenomenal! Cheesy corn is to die for. I had the smoked chicken and it was delicious. My parents had sausage and burnt ends, and we all had baked potatoes. All the meat was very tender, moist, and flavorful. Will definitely be back!

We wanted to get a late lunch so we stopped by Brobeck’s and we were not disappointed. We started with corn nuggets and cheese curds. These were a good size and were very good.
We both went with the Brobecks combo platter. Together we tried the brisket, pulled pork, polish sausage, and the Smokey Joe. Brisket was juicy and had great flavor. Pulled pork was good but you have to have sauce on it. The polish sausage was good and the Smokey Joe was very original. Need to get a sandwich with that next time. Had to get a couple of ribs and they were well worth the price. Great flavor and super tender!
The location is not huge but we didn’t have to wait at all with a party of 2. If you are on the hunt for good barbecue, go check them out.

We drove past two other barbeque joints that had a line out the door. Found Brobeck’s BBQ and we’re very pleased. No wait on a Friday night. Yummy beef burnt ends, side of baked beans, and sweet potato fries. A few slices of pickle thrown in. A mild sauce and a spicy sauce available on each table. All very good. (Guy at the next table insisted we try the amazing ham salad, but I didn’t know what that was.) Very casual environment. Nice staff. Literally the smallest bathroom in the world 🙂

A bit of a different BBQ spot for KC, all dry rubs and sauce it yourself. Burnt ends were pretty decent, maybe a little dry, but the rib was excellent.
They gave us some ham salad since we were first time visitors and it was damn good. Sides were also spot on. Location is kinda plain, but the service was excellent. Lots of BBQ to choose from, and Brobeck is a nice change of pace.

Fantastic BBQ! We had the pork bites and cheese curds to start, both amazing. The burnt ends, ribs, and brisket and sliced meats were all great as well. Friendly staff and quickly served.

Wow… Y’all call this BBQ?!?! It definitely smelled like tasty smoke when I walked in, but the food I got was anything but…
Service was moderately decent, but friendly. The menu was normal and decent. I opted for their brisket and jalapeño sausage along with beans and slaw as sides. The brisket was horrible! I can’t believe any smokehouse or BBQ joint would plate something like that. It was clearly made ahead of time, like yesterday and then pan seared or microwave or heated in some inappropriate way for service. There were cooked juices/grease all over the plate in fact – GROSS! Check the pics, no brisket should ever look like that! The sausage resembled and very smooth external casing texture, like hot dogs. The bite texture matched that and the flavor definitely wasn’t of a smoked jalapeño sausage, rather one of a cooked hot dog… very disappointing.
The sides weren’t that great either… I had to add tons of salt & pepper to the slaw and the beans were just hopeless.
Sad and disappointed because this is the type of BBQ I’d expect where I live, in the Northern VA/DC area, but not at all what I’d every expect from the second best BBQ region in the world (Texas is most definitely, without a doubt, 100% the BEST! And it’s places like this that prove that point). Maybe it was an off day… I don’t know. But in my case, I don’t visit here often, so you only get one chance to get it right… all restaurants should know this and act this way. I’d never return.

The ham salad lives up to the hype, the baby back ribs are excellent (the rub is so good that it really doesn’t need sauce), but the loaded burt end tater tot nachos were the show stopper for me as well as the cheesy corn. The great food, combined with the very attentive service from Holly, made for a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend Brobeck’s BBQ.

Love the food here. Cheesey corn is also excellent. Always a good smoke flavor to everything. I had the half smoked chicken. Fall off the bone tender. Good smoke flavor. Good seasoning rub.
