I just ordered the pasta dinner today, and my wife ordered a small chicken Margherita pizza. When we got home to eat the food my wife found a hair baked into the crust of the pizza. At first the young lady who I was speaking to on the phone when I told her about the hair was kind of like ok, and just went silent until I asked her what can we do about this situation then she was like ok let me go ask my manager. It took like 5 minutes to discuss the situation before simply saying we will refund you your money. Good place maybe just invest in some hairnets so this doesn’t happen again to anyone else. Pictures attached.

There are places you stumble into by accident and places you’re summoned to, like a weary traveler hearing a roadside oracle whisper, “Turn here.” Studebakers is the latter.
First thing that hit me wasn’t the smell of pizza but the sight of their craft soda machine, glowing like some carbonated shrine. Whoever decided to install it deserves a medal, or at least unrestricted access to the root beer option.
I ordered the meat lovers, a pie so heavily armed it should require a permit. Let’s be clear: this is not my beloved New York slice—my loyalty there is unshakeable—but I’ll give credit where it’s due. The crust had that quiet confidence, firm without being stiff, steady without collapsing, like it knew its job and wasn’t going to embarrass itself. It carried the toppings the way a seasoned warrior carries armor: without complaint.
There was more meat than cheese, enough to make a butcher shed a proud tear. The sauce? Minimal. Just a rumor, really. But the flavor still held its ground.
Inside, Studebakers feels like a temple built for people who worship the gods of classic rock and blinking lights. Pinball stalwarts stand ready like ancient guardians. The jukebox lurks in the corner, fully prepared to resurrect a power ballad the moment you make eye contact. The walls echo the age of guitars, engines, and untamed road trips.
In short: Studebakers is a strange little myth on the Texas roadside—unexpected, slightly scrappy, and absolutely worth the detour. A place where a New York slice loyalist can admit, begrudgingly, yeah… they did good.

We loved the old fashioned mom and pop style. We didn’t get to buy any ice cream, but we will make it a 2nd date. The pizza was hot, very cheesy (YUM), and fresh. It was made with perfection. Thank you for the service and the clean tables. Loved the pizza!

Pizza was amazing! Ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. Crust was delicious. A little skimpy on the chicken and some chicken was a little gristly. Was ready in about 20 min and was able to pick up easily. No plates were offered for a to-go order for a hotel stay. That would have been convenient.
Would definitely come back again to try it! Good restaurant to have in a small town. Prices were reasonable!!

Fun for kids. Lots of games. Really neat looking inside. Pizza wasn’t very good though. Don’t order the wings . Cashier was maybe having an off day. Won’t go back. Also pricey.

First time in Studebaker’s and it was great all around. Had cauliflower crust meat lovers (who knew you could get a cauliflower crust in Gatesville, Texas?) and it tasted great, crunchy and well-appointed with meat. Lots of beer choices and cool to see local young people working. Music and decor were great. Highly recommended.

I had lunch with my mother here the other day, and I picked the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, she got the calzones and we got a pepperoni pizza to go. It was really good, food was fresh, service was good my only complaint would be that we were charged a delivery fee when we ate there and didn’t order anything that needed delivery. We didn’t complain or mention anything just didn’t understand the extra charges…

Can’t believe I’ve lived in this area for two years and I’m just finding this gem of a pizza place . We really enjoyed our “Studebaker Special” and wings. Simple, flavorful, and non pretentious food. Thank you for a great casual dining experience.

We had the STUDEBAKERS pizza. Wow, delicious. It was hot, fresh, the sauce was great, not too tangy and not too wet. There is an arcade area. Eight choices of Stubborn soda on tap. Sixteen beers on tap. Service was a reasonable wait. Wonderful to see lots of groups, friends and family, coming together knowing there is something for everyone! This place is a local favorite for lots of reasons!
