Great breakfast spot! I came here with my 3 year old and he loved it. The decor, vibe, and bear-shaped pancake were all a hit for him. No complaints with my food either, although the eggs on top of the pancake were a strange detail. But that’s what I get for ordering the “Volcano,” as it was in the description. Eggs were fine, bacon and sausage were good, the pancakes were awesome. The service was also exceptional, with kind and attentive staff. This will likely be a regular breakfast spot for my kids and I!

I had a truly disturbing experience at Black Bear Diner. I was served rotten chicken that had an obvious spoiled taste. It was completely inedible and unacceptable for any restaurant, especially one that claims to serve fresh, quality food.
This is not just poor service — it’s a serious health and safety issue. Serving spoiled food puts customers at real risk of food poisoning and shows a lack of basic food handling and kitchen standards.
I immediately lost my appetite and my trust in this restaurant. No customer should ever have to question whether their food is safe to eat. I strongly urge management to address their food storage, hygiene practices, and quality control immediately. As accepting there is something wrong with the meat after a conversation with the manager, she deducted the price for the chicken.
I am surprised by her comment about, if my stomach get upset tomorrow with this, she said she can put an incident report today.

This was an awesome breakfast establishment ans had quality service and great food. The attitude in the restaurant was welcomed and service was fast, ambiance not much we i was there at lunch. Probably the loudest and busiest timeframe. Ill definitely be visiting again.

If you are ever on the far north side of Fort Worth you definitely have to stop by a Black Bear diner. This has been one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life. The atmosphere was great. Everything was completely fresh.

While the food here was AMAZING, my compliments to the chefs in the back who were cranking out really good food, there were several tables that weren’t clean when we arrived. The restaurant can use several dedicated busboys to keep the dining area clean and clear. Overall, the diner is a great place to eat and the hours aren’t bad either. Blake was amazing!

Black Bear Diner was an experience like never before. From before walking into the doors to getting our food to leaving. 10/10 will be coming back. Our server was awesome I think his name was Pedro. Absolutely wonderful. My husband and I tried the blueberry pancake, the big bear 10oz burger, and the volcano breaks fast plater. The portions are ginormous like the newspaper says. Black bear diner has a great story behind it and we can wait to celebrate the next 30 years with them.

We went an a Saturday morning, very, very busy. We finally got a table for 5, waitress took a minute to come around to us and then a bit to get our order or refills. So we finally get our order out and I wasn’t to pleased because I had ordered the steak and eggs medium done, they made it super well done but again our waitress wasn’t around, I left it alone tried eating what I could, the food is very pretty looking but in all honestly lacked flavor. The biscuits looks sooo good but no flavor. It was a bit of a drive for us, and with all the wait and no flavor and no great service, will definitely Not be back.
