We were looking for someplace to go for a day trip. We turned to our 2026 Wisconsin Old Fashioned Passport for ideas. It led us to the Brat House Grill in Wisconsin Dells. It is located in an old church building. But it was really renovated inside. The best piece of decor was a painting of John Lennon and the Yellow Submarine. The food was very good. I had the House Smashburger and fries with the Brat House Old Fashioned. My wife had the Big Daddy Brat Mac N Cheese. The staff was friendly and attentive. Even the Children’s Menu was hilarious and adorable. They have karaoke on Wednesday nights and live DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.

Went because we were driving past. Best meal we’ve had in the Dells. Service was awesome…friendly, helpful…and the food! Only thing we regret was filling up too fast and being too stuffed for dessert. Already planning our next trip to correct that!!

Inconsistent. Either its perfect or soggy, undercooked, inedible, mess. I order the exact same thing every time. Once again the fries are undercooked, still the same color they come out of the freezer in and raw in the middle. The bread on the blt was barely toasted (its wheat bread btw and see how light). It’s a BLT. If your cook can’t handle THAT, a new job may be in order. I never do bad reviews so it tells you how bad this has gotten. Ripping people off for undercooked food.

Definitely one of a kind place. Historic building. Lots of brats. My son enjoyed the electic playlist. Homemade chips didn’t feel like processed food in my stomach.

I’ve been going to the Dells for almost two decades and have always wanted to visit the Brat House, because I like brats! Finally tried it out and boy was it just plain. Ordered poutine and cheddar beer brat cause it’s Wisconsin after all. The poutine was disappointing as the curds seemed like they were frozen curds fried out of a box. And the gravy was runny and near tasteless. Waffle fries for the base were decent. The brats were extremely disappointing, very average in taste, juiciness and size. Blah. Unmelted shredded cheddar on top (no kraut?) swimming in a giant bun that was nothing special and a thirst sponge deluxe. Go get a brat from one of the other restaurants at the dells – you’ll be glad for it. The best thing we had was the homemade Parmesan chips. They were above average for homemade chips. Good luck!

Had the ham and bacon jelly sandwich and it was amazing. We got a waffle tray, was big enough for the entire table. We will be back for sure. Kids loved it.
