We started with breads and olives to nibble on, then enjoyed starters of baked scallops and the Scotch egg — both beautifully done. Our mains (fish, duck, and steak) were all cooked to perfection, and the sides complemented them perfectly.
Desserts were a real highlight —chocolate mousse, vanilla panna cotta, and warm apple and raspberry crumble each one excellent.
There’s a great drinks selection too — highly recommend the signature poitín negroni and the Irish Cream.
We had a reservation that was able to be brought forward and the table was in a quiet area of the restaurant. There’s a lovely atmosphere in restaurant and variety of seating.
Lovely food, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly service — definitely worth a visit!
The service was impeccable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can really feel the quality and care in every dish.
Desserts were just as impressive — the Apple Crumble was comforting and delicious, and the Irish Coffee was the perfect way to finish the meal.
Excellent value for money with VAT clearly included — a true Dublin gem that blends fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere.
Highly recommended! ️
While there wasn’t a dedicated gluten-free menu provided, my server talked me through the options and all the staff members had great knowledge of what I could and couldn’t eat, I opted for the steak, which was served with a fresh garlic butter, the steak was delicious, had so much flavour and was cooked perfectly, and didn’t even need any extra sauce, the fries again were so good, they were fresh, tasty and all the flavours had delivered.
My only disappointment was in my cocktail – it was overloaded with ice and was almost like a slush.
The other members of my party were also pleased with their food.
The vibes inside the restaurant were really nice too – it felt premium yet with a modern twist so it didn’t feel pretentious and you wouldn’t feel out of place coming in after spending the day sightseeing around Dublin, it was that perfect combination.
I’d return to Dublin alone for that steak!
The service was friendly and attentive although some miscommunication between staff as different waiters came to our table 3 times to take the food order when we specifically asked to give us 10-15 minutes to enjoy our espresso martini cocktails.
