This pops is just like the other ones in the surrounding areas. Fast predictable food. Consistency is the same across all the establishments. Price is fair and the food is pretty decent. We chose this hotdog place over others for the value. Burgers are on the greasy side but the always taste good.

Pops is the best beef around. Our family has cherished this place since it opened. Frank has always been there putting in the hours with a smile.the flavors are unmatched and meal size to cost ratio is generous. He makes a living by working hard allowing you to do the same but not breaking the bank like most other restaurants.He is not all profit but happy tummy. He take care of his customers with great prices and friendly, hard working staff working together like a ballet from behind the customer counter. Try it, you won’t be disappointed! We have moved from the area but I travel hours to get a few pounds of beef to always keep it in our house. Yes, its that good. Brother and sister Pops was their first job growing up, I poured a slab for his dumpster years ago, cant keep away from this place. Palos Pops is the original and best and will always be in out family’s hearts.

Was told this was a staple to Palos heights residents over the years. Had to try it. Was not disappointed. Ordered Polish dog with everything and hot dog with everything and those came with thin fries rolled up together in a wrapper.
Very tasty, as most Chicago hot dogs and Polish dogs are.
Staff was very friendly and they seem to have an efficient system for taking counter orders. This is not a sit-down restaurant. Though there are a few outside picnic tables to enjoy during good weather.
For a first-timer it was a bit chaotic entering the restaurant and It was not clear where the line to order was.
There were at least 10 people standing along the back window, but we realized they were holding receipts so had already placed their orders and were waiting.
Would certainly order again if ever in the area.

Always In My Heart
Came in last evening for the second time in about 1.5-2 years, I believe. It had really gone downhill. Anyway, I must compliment all the employees that handled my order. Order taker paid attention, cashier was very efficient. Drink came to me first. It really was very good, not watered down. Lemonade was it! Now, I must compliment the person who made my fish sandwich. I asked to have it ‘well done’ and ‘well drained’. Boy, did they hit the mark! Neither happened in the past and that is why we had quit coming. I will also say that it was nice to see you are now ‘labor intense’! You have enough people to execute each order. A business runs so much better when each employee does not feel like they are overloaded. We’ve only witnessed this at one other fast food place, Culver’s at 107th & Cicero. My daughter came home astonished! Grocery stores do not even man any of their departments like this, and all their employees are distant’ grumpy and evasive. Please, don’t change back to what you once were. You are setting a great example for all businesses!

There are no sitting tables here. Wait time was nada. As soon as I walked in, they took my order.young lady taking my order was patient and had good energy
Save room for dessert as they have tons of delicious items on the menu.

This is the 3rd time in a row I’ve gone here & they screw up my order. The 1st time I ordered a beef sand & they gave me a meatball sandwich. The 2nd time I asked for a beef with sweet peppers & they put hot Gardiner on it… they did refund money for that sand & gave me a $10 gift certificate. TODAY was the Last time I’ll go here. Went right when they opened , not busy & ordered a gyro on italian bread & they put it on a pita & i ordered a beef with sweet peppers & they put mozzarella on it.. it’s just so annoying I used the $10 certificate from the last screw up today & went home & order was messed up again. Nice manager but does she train them to read the ticket???? I didnt even bother calling back 3 strikes & your out ! The pops on kedzie NEVER screws up my order. Teach your people to READ the ticket that’s printed out correctly & Not just glance at it & do what they want. 3 times in a row!

Beef was as moist as dust.
Side gravy was flavorless.
Hot peppers were different…but just ok.
Customer service was just awful.
Not even the slightest amount busy, but terrible attitudes. There were around 10 people visibly working and 2-3 customers.
The last straw was how messy every single thing was. Bottom part of bun, bone dry. Top part of bread, breaking apart. Peppers not in the sandwich. Just strewn about. The side of gravy came in a bag, thank god, because it was a bag of gravy with a cup in it (Was Pop a sailor?)
I’m not a picky eater by any stretch of the imagination, but I threw away over 3/4th that sandwich.
There’s a Wendy’s next door. Get a couple of their worst burgers for the same price and get an insanely better product

Pop’s is only a couple of minutes from my house and we’ve been going there for the longest time. Everything is always so delicious. This time we got the breaded steak sandwich with mozzarella cheese, sweet peppers and red sauce and it was sooooo good. We usually get their hot dog with fries and we like grilled onions and mustard on our hot dogs just like how Maxwell Street does it. It comes with fries and it’s always delicious too. Tried their fried jumbo shrimps tonight and that also did not disappoint. Their shakes are fantastic and it’s always busy. This is our go to hot dog place when we crave some delicious American food.

Normally anything I’ve ordered is very good. I’ve ordered a hot dog with celery seed and mustard, so much celery seed it turned the mustard brown. Terrible! I was there early so maybe too early. Both Hot dogs cold.
