My wife, our friends, and I absolutely love everything about Side Street Inn. The food is consistently outstanding, the service is friendly and attentive, and the live music adds such a fun, lively energy to the experience. Every visit feels welcoming and memorable. This is truly a must-try restaurant—and even more so, a must-return. We’ll keep coming back again and again!

Side Street is and will always be one of our favorite spots in Honolulu. The prices really match the portions, super generous.

For 4 people, we ordered the pork chops, spicy chicken (it’s not spicy), fried rice, and mac salad – and we brought home leftovers!

The spicy chicken is my favorite, no idea how they get it so tender and crispy and flavorful. The fried rice is very nostalgic, and I love their mac salad.

Parking can be tough. Valet is $8, or there are QR scan lots and garages nearby, or you can Lyft if you’re visiting.

Staff are always so warm and welcoming, and we had no trouble getting seated at 6pm on a Tuesday. For 4 people with beers and 4 dishes, the total came out to around $140.

I was recommended by a colleague and boy did this not disappoint! We walked in and the there is a joyous atmosphere with a singer playing not too loud so everyone can laugh. Shout out to the bartender who was inviting and engaging with his bar. The food is AMAZING, we had the Garlic Chicken and Fried rice is so good. The only “good” problem is that not only is it affordable especially in the current economy there is SO MUCH FOOD! I shared with my colleague and we still had plenty of food leftover!

Only suggestion is if you are going with a group, reserve ahead! This is a popular spot and deserves that spot.

I will always go back to this place when I go back to the island!

Came here for Thanksgiving and we were very impressed. We are about to move off island and I just didn’t have it in me to cook so I found this place when googling and I’m so sad I didn’t know about it sooner. The Kalbi is some of the best I’ve had on island. The service was good and the portions were great.

Sort of stumbled upon this place and we are so glad we did. Although, they generally recommend reservations. We were able to get a table. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing! Big portions served family style! I am so thankful I have leftover for tomorrow. Signature style fried rice, Yakisoba Noodles, Baby Back Ribs, and the Potato Mac Salad. All 10/10! Highly recommend.

Tasty dinner with great portions! It’s definitely meant to be family style but we ordered one meal for everyone and had a bunch of leftovers. The misoyaki chicken and yakisoba noodles were excellent and went really well together. It was busy at dinner time so I’d definitely recommend making reservations.

I love Side Street Inn for its delicious food, happy, attentive customer service, and valet parking service, which is so convenient!

All the dishes we ordered were fast, generous, and yummy. Our waitress is a great young Chinese girl who brought a more joyful dinner to our table. She is lovely and very attentive.

The dining room is a little dated, but the excellent food and service are more important to us. I’m sure I’ll be back next time when I’m in Honolulu.

There’s a reason this is a local staple. The food doesn’t disappoint the service is great and the happy hour is a perfect way to try all of the best dishes without having to go with a big group. Try it all if you can!

The fried Rice, Garlic Chicken, Pork Chop, yakisoba, Kalbi Short Rib it was all delicious!!!

Overall, our experience was just underwhelming. The food was just average at best. The quality definitely is mediocre.

Pork chops were dry.
Boneless Kalbi was tasty, but many of the pieces were tough and burnt.
Garlic Chicken. The best dish of the night. Crunchy on the outside and moist and juicy inside. Full flavor.
Chicken salad flavor was good, but chicken pieces were dry and hard.

Some friends recommended this place. It was a good value. We had the chefs special for 3-4 people. We ordered o e extra entree. Our group was 7 adults and one toddler. We had leftovers. Salad was very good. Edamame also good. Fried rice, noodles, ribs, chops, and beef were awesome. We will return when we are entertaining a group. Good value.
