I have a lot of affection for this place. Seems like it has been there forever. Decades anyway. Serving basically the same food to basically the same local crowd. Sort of divey/hole in the wall neighborhood place, but I mean that as a compliment. Went for the first time in several years recently and it felt like it could’ve been twenty years ago. Kind of place you can have reliably good food, washed down with beer or wine, while talking to friends and half watching a Celtics or Bruins game on a tv in the corner. Crowd is very local but diverse in ages. Everything from families to older couples or bunches of guys hanging out. Always busy and the parking lot is small. They do not take reservations and it’s cash only but they have an atm. It was always that way and I hope it never changes.

Should have know like all other places since covid, nothing is as good as it use to be. Haven’t eaten at this place in a long time and never ordered online before. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Like they didn’t even try to hide how horrible. Price is outrageous, absolutely no flavor and I chocked multiple times because because it was so tough and all fat! Looking at the latest reviews, this place should be ashame of themselves ruining there own reputation. But it’s obvious they don’t even care.

Double tips, extra cherry peppers, and the best salad around. Tips were tender and cooked perfectly. Always a great experience.

On our Culinary ‍ Travels we ended up in Chelsea, Massachusetts at The Newbridge Cafe. Parking ️ was a breeze with free parking lot across the street and at the Cafe. We were seated right away and put our orders in. We started off with a double order of Meatballs and Ice Cold ❄️ Beers and Drinks . We also ordered a small Antipasto Salad . Entrees 3 Steak Tips Dinner with Baked Potato, Steak Fries and Rice Pilaf . Everything was So Delicious from the Meatballs and the Sauce mopped up with the bread to The Antipasto Salad but those Amazing Steak Tips cooked perfectly and so Tender just melted in your mouth and the sides were so yummy The Culinary Team ‍ did a Fantastic Job . The Service was Excellent . Our Waitress Tiffany was Awesome A+ . She was Friendly and Helpful with the menu choices very Attentive and made the Dining Experience Memorable .
Highly Recommend Newbridge Cafe! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It is incredible when an institution does not rest on their laurels. New Bridge has been a consistently great place to grab a simple but delicious meal for the 3 decades I have made the journey there. The reason to go for sure are the meats (steak tips and ribs) cooked to perfection. There are other American Italian offerings on the menu which are delicious, but I personally feel that better versions are available elsewhere. The atmosphere is very casual in a “cheers” sort of way. Low key in a no-fuss sort of way. Make the short journey there, it’s worth it.

The food and service were good. Had the ribs with steak tips and a side of fries and a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was a bit too salty for my tastes but some bread or eating it with my entree made it work out. They don’t cheap out on the clams, had some in every bite.

The fries weren’t great, they’re huge wedges like 1/4 of a potato per wedge lol, but the portions were generous.

The place feels a bit cramped and other tables can definitely be loud because the seatings are pretty close together.

I had a good time having dinner here, good food and service.

My first experience with the New bridge Cafe was more than 40 years ago. The steak was always tender and the marinade they used, truly enhanced the flavor instead of overpowering it. The sausage locally sourced was flavorful and juicy. Over the years I’ve returned to this restaurant partially for the nostalgia, but more importantly because the food remained delicious. Yes, the prices have increased quite a bit and the portions have gotten a little smaller, but isn’t that the case everywhere you go? I’ll keep coming back for the memories, but mostly for the steak tips!

Depending on the day you go, the experience will be different (games count ofc). Nothing negative to say about the place, as I personally haven’t had a bad experience with the handful of times I’ve gone. (this review was overdue in my opinion and should’ve been done a couple months ago). Servers are always there for anything and are attentive. Good spot, my go to at the place are the steak tips and never get them from anywhere else to be honest. Location is cool as well and parking is available as well if you’re driving there. Would recommend if traveling to Boston as there’s a bus stop just about a minute away walking as well.

Newbridge never disappoints. taste, potions and service are great. I moved to the West Coast 25 yrs ago and I always try and visit Newbridge when I visit Boston.
If you’ve never been, you will enjoy a generous portion of steak tips here.
