Ps. Those portions were big & im here for it.
And definitely try their cocktail drink “Mezcalita” so good.
Plentiful servings with robust flavors.
Pleasant and attentive service.
And reasonably priced.
Great place for a business lunch too.
Authentic Cuban Sandwich that was PERFECT… (bread was absolutely award winning) and it was perfectly prepared.
Very nice job “Armando”…
(I don’t know if there’s actually an Armando but kudos to whoever in charge. The staff did a nice job and the food was delicious.)
We decided to Armando’s because we were in the mood for Mexican food, but this was so much more. There were several interesting choices on the menu, including Spanish and Cuban dishes. The stand out of the night was the calamari appetizer. It has some potato on it, and it was super tender and super tasty. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal and this was such a great pick.
We will definitely be back to try other dishes.
My latest Cazuela de Mariscos was a revelation – brimming with plump shrimp, tender scallops, and mussels in a rich, savory broth that hums with just the right kick, not heavy on tomatoes. My wife’s Arroz con Pollo is comfort in a bowl, with chicken so tender it falls apart and rice carrying a subtle, smoky warmth. Each dish feels like a love letter to Caribbean and Spanish kitchens, rivaling the best we’ve tasted stateside.
The cocktails elevate the experience: my Armando Margarita was delicious but a touch too sweet, so I added a tequila shot kicker for a bold, citrusy zing. My wife raved about her mojito’s crisp, minty delight.
Service is very satisfactory, though not always attentive, but the vibrant food, lively atmosphere, and stellar adult beverages make Armando’s a true Duluth treasure.
I get things do happen, but some advice from someone in customer service management. Apologize for the delay, give them an estimated time and don’t be dismissive and sarcastic.
