Update: After 35 minutes, I went back to the counter to ask what the hold-up was. The employee told me they were “working on it,” but then had to ask the cook in the back about my order — which is when I realized they hadn’t even started it yet. I literally watched him drop the shrimp (I ordered the surf and turf) into the fryer at that moment.
When I asked for an ETA for the third time, the cashier seemed annoyed that I was even asking. As an OTR truck driver, I stop at TAs daily, and this was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I came in for a quick bite mid-load, and instead ended up waiting 45+ minutes for a “fast food” meal. That kind of delay matters when you’re on a schedule — I could’ve been halfway to Ohio by then.
I’m not sure why my order was ignored while multiple customers who ordered after me got their food first, but it was incredibly frustrating.
To make matters worse, when I finally received my lemonade, it was warm and had no ice — as if it had been made when I first ordered and just left sitting there until I complained for the third time.
I will not be coming back.
edit: to make matters worse half my order was missing and everything other than the shrimp was cold. my drink was warm though no ice in my lemonade
1- The rudest and most uncaring employees, they all look like they’re dreading every moment of their life.
2- If you order pick up, make sure you notify them when you get there, it doesn’t matter if you ordered 5, 10, or 30 minutes ago, they will watch the receipt on their counter until you show up and tell them to prepare the order. Afterwards, they will tell you they’re out of chicken or (on an order that was placed 30 min ago at 6pm)
3- The most overpriced fried chicken you can find in fast food, but they are so pissy about getting dark or white meat, they will lose their mind if they have to give you 3 thighs and 1 leg in a 4 piece meal.
UPDATE: I finally looked at my food and my sandwich, which took 30 minutes to get, looked like it had been ran over by a car. I asked for my money back. We’ll see if I get it.

Hey Popeyes.. if it’s on the menu and someone orders it, serve it… it’s really that easy.
For anyone that wants to order here, be sure what you’re ordering “is allowed”…
I’m in America myself I won’t come back to this location.
1. Why are you cussing on the front line
2. Rather your closing or not she should
Always be ready for a rush. Like yall not off the highway.
3. How she is speaking of the customers like we not standing here hearing her.
4. I drove all the way here from east Indy due to this location always be fresh and a polite entry.
She has to do better. She may not care cool
But I care how I’m being treated as a customer
Feels about $5 too high.
The chicken was somewhere between fresh and stale, hot and cold. Mediocre. Didn’t hate it. Didn’t love it.
I think the fact that the beans and rice were by far the most enjoyable part of the meal speaks volumes.
Unfortunately, the Country Pride next door is shut down.
Oh the employees and service were NOT the issue. They were fast, friendly, and running a smooth ship. They did their jobs just fine.
I probably should’ve just stuck with the safer chicken sandwich.
