The place was packed on a Saturday evening. I found the only seat available at the end of the bar. Service matched the max capacity. Every table was full as well. Several birthday celebrations. Food was excellent!!!

Well, I reserved a table for my wife & I at FATS this evening to Celebrate our 4th year wedding anniversary, 1st time customers. We were seated promptly by our hostess with a smile, and with a “Happy Anniversary”, as they remembered. The ambience & lighting was simply perfect, and the 4 Palm Trees inside accentuated our experience, even though they were petrified.

I ordered the Bulgogi Pork Lo Mein, which came with
Pork loin in a Korean style marinade, grilled and served over lo mein noodles with cabbage, carrots and green and yellow onions. Recipe includes eggs, wheat, soy and shellfish, & the Hot & Sour Soup, while my wife ordered the the Wok, oh, and how could I forget, we enjoyed the Mongolian Ribs as our Starter, everything was cooked to perfection, a High End Chinese Dinner that continued to serenade my taste buds as we drove home….

We cannot forget our waitress, Reina, who was professional, attentive, possessed an intimate knowledge of the menu, and was genuinely a delightful person. Our 1st experience was augmented by our waitress, we thank you.

My sister and I arrived at approximately 3:45 pm on a Wednesday. The restaurant had a few tabes occupied. Our service was swift and professional the whole time. The food was fantasic. So savory. We ordered an appetizer. The dim sum basket. It arrived well before our etrées, so we had enough time to enjoy each piece. My sister ordered the mongolian beef bistro plate and I ordered the honey walnut prawns. We had a choice of white or brown rice. Everything was SO good. Perfectly fresh. I also ordered a cocktail, so I am considering that in my ‘price per person’ section of this review. I have been wanting to eat here for twenty-four years and it did not disappoint! I am happy to have a small box of leftovers.

Went here for dinner. We didn’t have to wait that long to get seated but then the food took a really long time to arrive but our waitress was really nice.
I enjoyed the ribs appetizer. I do think the honey walnut prawns at Red Lantern are much better than the ones here. But pleasant experience overall. I’ve also had the coconut shrimp here before which I thought was quite good. Nice interior.

The Real Deal is Fats Asia Bistro Roseville which delivers on style and taste!!

Let’s kick this off with the service which was outstanding for both of my visits. My drink was always full, food delivered quickly, and really good teamwork to provide a welcoming environment. I would say customer service definitely high priority for the manager.

Next let’s talk about the environment which looks and feels like a calming atmosphere. The bar area has comfy chairs and cozy in a nature. The tables have really comfortable chairs which makes for getting a booth which they have not always a top priority. Nice see through fireplace.

Now onto what you alllll been waiting for The Food! First visit I had the happy hour menu which had some amazing starters from Lumpia (8.5/10) a delicious spin from the traditional to Ribs were tasty (8.5/10). On my next visit, I had the Crab Rangoon which was creamy and crispy (8.5-10). Then I tried Honey Walnut Chicken that fried not too sweet with a large portion to share with two (9/10). Another item tested was the Chinese Chicken Salad (10/10) that was very delicious, large portion, exciting flavors that would expect in this type of salad. Overall, this place is a great date spot, lunch or dinner, well rounded dining! Must try!

Nice restaurant, great seevice, drinks were good and strong. The food is mid at best. We had garlic noodles with chicken, walnut honey chicken, rice, and the banana cream pie. None of the chicken had flavor, you can taste garlic in the noodles, but that was it. Honey walnut sauce didnt really coat the chicken and you could barely taste it. Banana cream pie tasted like it was from the frozen section of a grocery store. Asian food has distinct flavors that i found missing in these dishes especially for the cost. The rice was good!

A TRULY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!
My family has celebrated my birthday at Fat’s Asia Bistro in Roseville for many years. Typically, the food is excellent, the service is outstanding, and the experience reflects the high standard we’ve always associated with Fat’s. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like what we have come to expect. It became a major disappointment as the evening dragged on.

We had reservations for ten, and the restaurant was not busy, so the issues we experienced can only be attributed to poor work ethic and a lack of care from the staff.

From the start, our server appeared irritated to be handling a large party. She took our drink order, delivered the drinks, and then disappeared. There was no opportunity to request another drink or even a simple refill—we ultimately had to get water ourselves from a service pitcher on a nearby table.

About 30 minutes later, she returned to take our appetizer and dinner orders. When my soup arrived, it was brought to the table in a large bowl. Before I could even ask for smaller bowls and spoons for sharing, the assistant had already walked away.

More than an hour passed before our food finally arrived—and it was cold. It was obvious the dishes had been sitting in the kitchen for quite some time. The Orange Chicken was overcooked, overly breaded, and lacked sauce. The Honey Walnut Chicken was merely warm and appeared to have been served upside down, with the walnuts and carrots buried at the bottom. The Honey Walnut Prawns were the same. Several dishes had to be sent back to be reheated. Our dinner was finally served at 8:30 (I think this was after 730) p.m., despite our 6:00 p.m. reservation.

To make matters worse, when my daughter attempted to speak with the manager, she was told he was too busy to come to the table and that she could call him the next day. He did, however, offer a $100 credit as compensation for the poor experience.

Fat’s used to be an upscale, reliable restaurant where we could enjoy a special meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Sadly, that no longer seems to be the case. I would be embarrassed to bring guests there again. This was a special occasion for our family, and we could have chosen any of the excellent restaurants in Roseville. Instead, we chose Fat’s Asia Bistro—and we regret it. We will not be choosing Fat’s again, ever.

The food was good, but we got our food very late and had to wait a long time—45 minutes—before they seated us. It was a Friday night, so make reservations in advance; waiting with kids is no fun. The food also arrived very late, which can ruin your experience if you’ve already finished your appetizers and are just waiting for the main course. I had the same problem again: their hosts are usually not very friendly, with an attitude of just wanting to get the orders done. I just go for the yummy food, but I wish the company would start investing in training their hosts.

I was pleasantly surprised when my Son-In-Love and My daughter whisked me away to Mother’s Day Dinner at Fat’s in Roseville. I tried to go to one of these restaurants several years ago. I wanted to have a birthday lunch at the Folsom location but, I was unable to arrange both reservations on the same day so, I got my massage and missed out on Fat’s Asian Bistro. We had a beautiful experience. The food was great, our server was awesome, we had leftovers. The atmoshere was great and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded like we heard the Folsom location was when my daughter called early to make a reservation. We will definitely be back for more occasions and delicious food.

Don’t go, terrible service.

It’s a shame the service is horrible. I had some time to myself and went in for lunch on a Saturday. I was seated in the bar area at a table. I had 3 servers walk by in a span of 10 mins and not even one server stopped by to offer me the menu of a glass of water.

I flagged a server down and said I would like to order and she went on about her way. I flagged her down again for a glass of water and the menu and waited another 5 minutes for a glass of water…. She stopped by with a glass of water, no menu with a look on her face. Same server who has served me 3 times in the past…. I tip 20% plus every time.

I use to love this restaurant, with my experience now I will not be going back and would recommend others to avoid the place if you expect decent service.

Food is good, service and hospitality needs a lot of work.

The servers have this attitude like they own the place and not very friendly.

Avoid and don’t go.
