Stopped in for a business dinner near where I was staying. The atmosphere was nice….though I couldn’t help but wonder why 30 people were sitting inside on a beautiful summer evening. I grabbed a seat on the patio right away. No view, but it was comfortable and relaxed.
Service was excellent. I ordered the Bang Bang Smash Burger, which unfortunately was overcooked…less “crispy edges and juicy smash burger” and more “dry and lifeless.” Not much bang bang sauce either, which didn’t help. On the bright side, the tots were a solid upgrade, crispy and satisfying.
But the real standout? The black cherry Manhattan. That cocktail nearly redeemed the whole meal. Next time, I’d order the same thing but ask for more sauce and a properly cooked burger. With that tweak, it could easily go from forgettable to fantastic.

I am always skeptical of bar food, but Yankee Tavern was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the burrito bowl with the brisket on the side (I’m a vegetarian) and they were easily able to accommodate the request and give the brisket to my table mate. The food was incredibly flavorful. Yes, even without the meat. The rest of our party shared the same sentiment. The French fries were crispy, the food hot, the portions large, and the service was great. My only complaint is they only played new country music the entire time. That may actually keep me from returning.

Don’t sit at the bar unless you are a regular, you will get ignored as the bartender will be busy talking to the regulars/friends and looking at her phone. I got our own fork and napkins from the waitress station and had to walk up to the kitchen to get ketchup. Never was asked “how’s the food”. The burger was very overcooked. It was very crunchy and dry. Also didn’t really seem like a “smash burger”.

Tried this place for the 1st time and really liked the food. The service wasn’t great, although the server was very nice. We went when it wasn’t busy during lunch time on a Sunday. It took a long time for the server to come to our table. And a very long time for our drinks (a tap beer and a soda) to arrive (which the server didn’t bring out). It took a very long time for her to come back to our table to take our order. She only came back once to check on us (again-took a long time to bring refills). Food was great (we ordered a club sandwich and a chicken wrap). Fries were warm, bordering cold, as was the chicken – which I attribute to the slow service. We will try again – hopefully the slow service was just an off day.

After driving by for so many years, we stopped in for dinner and tried their Saturday steak special. The steak was so flavorful and tender. The staff were kind and knowledgeable of the food and drinks. I am so sad that we spent so many years driving past and missing out on such a fantastic place. I definitely recommend stopping in and trying their food. Can’t wait to go back.

This place has a great homey feel. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food has that Americana comfort food feel and everything was delicious! I hade a chicken and cucumber sandwich with fries and it was amazing. The fries were cooked perfectly crispy. My dinner partner had a BLT and white bean chicken chili which were both wonderful. We even won some steaks from the meat raffle! We loved this place!

Ive driven by this place for years. Never had gone in. My Uncle had been here ans suggested we get together. It was a great place to eat. I would enjoy going back here again.
I also learned there are a collection of restaurants that have gotten together and they are partnered with Lucky 13’s on hwy 13 as well.

Great tavern. Had the Thai bowl which was ok. Great interior and patio. Happy hour is good for cheap lite beer otherwise beer prices are very high and don’t show on the beer list. I should have asked.

On a Sunday, not very busy and just before the brunch ended. We got a breakfast burrito and a double double burger. My burrito was phenomenal, and every bite I could taste how fresh the ingredients were!. It has eggs, sausage, onions, black beans, corn and queso. With pico, and sour cream on the side.
The burger was so juicy and we were hesitant to order because some burgers are served way over sized, but this was the perfect size, with 2 -3oz patties and cheese in the middle! Yes the cheese in the middle of the patties knocks this one out of the park! After the first bite, that burger was gone ! Sorry we didn’t get better pics, the food was just too good.
We only stopped here because other places we looked at were over crowded and this one luckily wasn’t !
We drive by this almost every weekend but are now going to stop more often !
Come out and say Hi to one of the best crews in the cities at Yankee Tavern!!
