We arrived at dinner time and was greeted and seated inside with menus. Ordered the chips and queso, the fajitas, and the tamale plate. Chips and salsa are not complementary. The chips and queso, we thought the queso seemed really thin for a cheese. The fajitas came out quickly. They certainly look authentic with the stake, chicken and shrimp, just a note. These do not have a white cheese in them. The tamales come out hot and ready to go with two types of sauce on the side. One green one red. The meal was certainly tasty, just not meeting our particular taste.

Okay so I’m not a fan of Mexican food usually, I don’t find anything great on the restaurants around my area that I could say wow! But this place may have change my mind. I’m glad I was told about it. Is homemade, you can taste the work from scratch, I could be wrong but everything I had was great. I will be back with the family and order some more! Prices and portions are fair. Now I’m curious about their other dishes and see what else I can love. The place is big you can eat inside or outside but maybe what I liked the most, was not the food or the friendly service, it was the rescued cats!!!! I can appreciate a place that has the heart to take care of some cats, sign me up!

My husband just ate at this place last week and this is my 3rd visit since then, passed on this place for years. Food is authentic, portions were good and food was delicious. I had the chile rellenos and he had the carnitas and asada. Definitely a hidden gem.

Stopped in for dinner and we was not disappointed. The steak tacos with the corn tortillas were fantastic. I highly recommend and we will return in the future. The restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and the service was great.

It’s a new restaurant recommended by a friend. I went early for dinner, around 5:00pm, on a Friday and it was fairly empty inside. They do have a window where you place your order and can take it home or eat inside/outside. The food was fresh and the tortillas were homemade. Good food and inexpensive. I would stop by again next time I’m in the area.

I visited Sol mexican , a Mexican restaurant, and had an amazing experience. The service was outstanding. The lady who took care of us was incredibly sweet with our son — she even gave him food so he could feed the chickens walking by.
The staff was attentive to every detail, and the whole environment felt welcoming and beautiful. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I will definitely be coming back!

We love Mexican food and trying menu items not commonly available. We tried the Guatemalan tamale stuffed with pork, and it was delicious. I have had plenty of Mexican tamales, but this was my first time trying a Guatemalan, wrapped in a green banana leaf. Worse food in a Mexican restaurant‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️. I came here with high hopes based on the previous reviews. Boy was I wrong and now I question the reviews in this app. The tacos were filled with lettuce tomato and cream. Not authentic at all! I’m pretty sure they do that because of the lack of meat. Really, look at the photos. Disgusting. The “papas locals” were crazy burned with what seemed like the grill leftovers on top as the meat. The fries were crispy but that’s it. We ordered a Mexican coke and it had rust on the rim of the bottle. The Jamaica Agua Fresca was really good. We ordered the tres leches and we couldn’t eat it because it was spoiled milk and it tasted like refrigerator. THE most disgusting dessert I’ve ever tasted. Overall this place is either changed management or people have very low,low standards when it comes to their food. Whoever was cooking on 7/22/25 in that kitchen should be ashamed! I also ordered birria and after paying for it they said that they where out of it

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the world. The staff is super friendly and the food is awesome. You walk up to the window, order whatever you want and whichever meat (out of like 7!!) that you want, and then find a seat and hang out. I drive an hour to come to this place. Love it!
