We came 2 hrs before closing and they accommodated our big party. The food was so good I recommend the lobster with shrimp in butter and garlic. The clams were so good and the calamari. I definitely can’t wait to go back.

Sandra’s is one of our go-to restaurants in Puerto Nuevo. We went back on Monday, Jan 26, 2026. The rice, beans and tortillas were delicious as usual.
Unfortunately, the lobster was rubbery. I wasn’t able to pull the tail out in one piece. I had difficulty pulling the remaining shreds out with my fingers.
Freshness is our priority and the reason we go to Sandra’s. This is lobster season. We expected their best.
We will go back but will request the freshest lobster or other fresh fish/seafood.

This place is very very decent. They have a short amount of parking in front, like… maybe 5 cars can fit with the hoods facing the entrance, and wonderful trees outside to shade the entrance. The cost for 3 half’s, of small sized lobsters, with rice and beens and huge freshly made flour tortillas, is about 45 USD, but it’s worth it because of the staff service, place neatness, cleanness and the freshness of the food. The restrooms are very clean and it looks like they just remodeled it. The artwork on the walls is awesome and they have a cocktail bar.

Worth the price for lobster! Very fresh and tasty, the flour tortillas are amazing and so the fish tacos. The place is small and without ocean view, but very well decorated and good service.

We’ve been going there for years! It’s THE BEST spot for lobster in Puerto Nuevo. The food quality and service is amazing. It is an expensive spot but you get what you pay for. I recommend getting the lobser tails with rice, beans and their delicious gigantic tortillas. For drinks the white wine or Clamato with beer.
Can’t wait to go back 🙂

Tasty, authentic Mexican seafood dishes and great drinks! We ordered a sea snail dish served with bread, chorizo cheese, shrimp civiche and lobsters. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Excellent food as always, and the staff is friendly and very attentive. We saw this restaurant on one of Lalo’s videos from La Ruta de la Garnacha, and we decided to give this place a try. I did call in advance to request a large either 4 or 7 pounds lobster, because I wanted to try a good one. OMG…what a treat. The meat was moist and sweet, perfectly cooked and seasoned. And the beans, rice and tortillas are amazing as well. The food and drinks here are super good, so the prices are justified by the quality.

My family has been coming here for over 40 years. My great tias and tios met SANDRA and this has been a ceremonial spot EVERYTIME we visit. We go no where else as this would be seen as a disrespect to our elders. Creatures of habit and tradition.

We made a quick stop before going to Ensenada. Amazing place. Lobsters are famous here. Some mariachis walked in and serenaded different tables. Overall great food.

Elegant and calm ambience with a great atmosphere. The food was great, not just the signature lobster but the salads and cocktails too. My biggest win, though non-conventional, whas that they had a changing station. Their bathroom was really small and not many places in Mexico are baby friendly, but here they had a folding changing table and that made my experience as a mom all the better. Clean, delicious and baby-friendly!
