After a week in a foreign land went here to satiate the Indian tongue. We had a low expectations to begin with but we were blown away by the authenticity of the Indian food served here.
We had ordered vegitable briyani with high spicyness. The biryani tasted really good and spicyness matched our expectations. Although the prices are high it was with it. I highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Indian food.

I had a decent experience, nothing major to complain about. The taste of the food was good, served fresh and hot. Quality wise also food was prepared well. Service is slow I felt, it took some time to even take my order. Loved the ambience it is very Indian. Prices are okish, slightly higher than average and it is not complimented with portion of the food. Something they must improve

This was the best Indian vegetarian meal I had in switzerland. The vegetarian thali had different sabzis , dal , rice, roti, and a dessert. Palak paneer was tasty. The achar(pickle) and chutney was good too.
The service was quite quick. I really enjoyed my dinner , thank you.
PS: if you are looking for jain options then I will suggest to call the restaurant in advance to confirm.

I really wanted to love Kanchi after a long day of sightseeing, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. For a restaurant in such a prime location in Lucerne, the overall experience felt lacking.
What Went Wrong:
Glacial Service: We waited quite a long time just to have our order taken, and the food took even longer to arrive. It seemed like the staff were overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn’t at full capacity. It really killed the appetite.
Overpriced for the Portion Size: While Switzerland is expensive, the prices here felt particularly steep compared to the amount of food served. The value for money just isn’t there.
Uncomfortable Atmosphere: The restaurant was incredibly warm inside, making it hard to enjoy a spicy meal. There were fans, but they didn’t seem to be positioned to help the diners much.
Hit-or-Miss Food: While the Naan was decent, some of the curries lacked distinct flavors. For example, the Chicken Karahi tasted almost identical to the Butter Chicken—both were a bit bland and lacked that authentic “punch” of spices.
The Only Saving Grace:
The location is great—right near the Lion Monument—and the staff were at least polite when we finally got their attention.
