Fork It! When Milan is moving fast and winter is doing what winter does (dreary and cold), Stelvio delivers the kind of big, satisfying Alpine Italy inspired comfort food you actually want. We went for a late-ish lunch (2:30) and the room was quiet, mostly locals, in a clean, bright, airy space that reads modern and a little fancy.

Yes, the orecchia d’elefante schnitzel is the headliner—and it’s absurdly huge (it took up half our two-top on its own cutting board). But here’s the detail that matters: the waiter told us they prepare each “ear” to order and use a special press so the meat stays evenly thick. The result is perfectly thin, evenly crisp, and well-salted breading that never turns heavy. Lemon on the side is your optional palate reset.

Don’t miss the sleeper hit: polenta taragna with salsiccia—rustic, rich, mountain-style polenta with excellent sausage and tomato sauce. Get a bottle of Pinot Grigio; it cuts the fat and lifts both dishes. A starter + two mains + a bottle of wine easily feeds 3–4. 86.50 euro. Great value, steps from Isola Metro.

The food and wine was outstanding. We stumbled across this place and the knowledgeable manager recommend all our food and bottle of wine – all local, all high quality produce with great flavours and a perfect wine and food matching – at a reasonable price of four dishes and ‘Inferno’ wine for €83. See the sausage tartar on toast and handmade buckwheat pasta with two cheeses photos. Thanks to the Chef for coming to chat with us. He has a restaurant with the same name in Toronto BTW.

Cozy location in the heart of Isola (super close to the metro station) with a fast and kind service. I really appreciated the menu, not too long and with a good variety of Typical Milan dishes. I had a cotoletta and was good (I had better ones in my life), the dessert are amazing (highly recommended tiramisu). The bill was a bit high in my opinion but in line with Milan prices for these type of restaurants.

Went there with some apprehension that it would not be my style (too many pictures of ladies with impressive deep neckline than proper food or atmosphere). but good surprise atmosphere was nice, waiters efficient and kind and the food was great. A bad point is the lack of non alcoholic beverages, only water or sodas (due to health issues, I can not drink anymore and I appreciate when I can have something a bit more fancy than water to cheer with)

Stelvio is a very hyped place in Milan and having been there I know why it is.
The restaurant propose slightly revisited lombardanian dished like the Mondeghili with Veal and spinaches, they’re must try is the elephant ear Veal steak that in the way of Milano is breaded and cooked in a pan.
The wine list wasn’t that long but has some of the most sold wines in Lombardia and definetely of good quality. I definetely enjoyed eating there.

Had dinner at Stelvio in Milan and tried the giant cutlet named orecchia di elefante. It was pretty good, well-cooked and crispy. Portion was big, maybe a bit too much. The place was nice. Service was fine. Overall, a good experience.

Traditional Milan kitchen. Worth trying, cotolette alla Milanese is very good. As for Milan the price is also not bad.

The interior is cute and well furnished, the food is OK. Unfortunately the dishes are over-priced.

Stelvio Isola is always a pleasure to visit both for ambiance and the exquisite food. I live in Toronto and love the Toronto branch, however every time I am in Milano I am always so happy to visit the Milano team with their vibrant smiles, beautiful location and incredible food. My favourite is the risotto with the savoury sausage…jeez that thing is incredible! Highly recommend!
