First I would like to thank all of the staff for being there on this busy Saturday night, I appreciate you all. Now I would like to travel back in time to Tuesday the 13th, I walked in with my mother to the staff chattering amongst themselves which is normal. We were not greeted upon entering the establishment and there were no other customers at that time. Came there for the delicious Oyster Mushroom Wrap but was told they only serve on Wednesdays and Saturdays, not a problem. We come back today and were told they weren’t serving them, disappointed though we opted to try their burgers ($15 w/fries). Wait time was supposed to be 15 minutes we waited 40.
During the wait period the cook came out with a Mushroom Wrap and a burger for the person ahead of us and of course I was appalled at the fact they did have the wrap but hey, I already ordered my burger. When the cook did come out with our orders he apologized for the wait and stated they were short staffed. The burgers were tasty, they were delicious actually! The fries were a bit skimpy, seasoned well but slightly overcooked. While I greatly appreciate the hard work of your staff I hope that they are trained more in customer service, specifically greeting customers and communicating with them better, as well as communicating with the kitchen better.

Elife never disappoints! For 23 years their recipes are the go to way of eating. During the winter season, I stock up and bring my own grocery bags. Lol! The raw garlic kale, cucumber tomato salads, and health drinks are delicious and actually healing.

WHEW THIS FOOD IS GOOD. My first time & just visiting in town and I was blown away by the variety, quality, and kindness of this place. Everyone was helpful and excited for me to try their yummy food. They helped me pick the best options for my preferences, offered me samples, and were super patient with my indecision. I highly recommend!

Everlasting Life Restaurant has some really good food, especially when it’s fresh. The flavors are great, and the customer service was good. However, I was disappointed that the cold food prices weren’t included in the meal price—it would be helpful if that were made clearer upfront. Also, the cakes didn’t taste fresh at all; the sponge was dry. On the bright side, the drinks were excellent! I especially loved the Gin Zinger—it’s great for helping rid mucus in the body. Overall, a solid spot, but I’d be mindful of what I order next time.

Well seasoned and cooked food (not over or under cooked). Prices are reasonable for vegan food. The drumettes are the main reason I went to this restaurant and they did not disappoint. My order included collard greens, black eye peas over rice, lemon herb drumettes and honey drumettes. I never pass up sorrel and it was very good as well. I will return the next time I’m in MD.

This place use to have the best vegan food. I’ve been a customer for over 15 years..so I didn’t mind the pricey menu items. Now, I’d say, since they moved to the new building…the quality of food and service has tanked. Tasteless. Cold. Nasty. Can’t understand what I’m asking for. Even the customer base has changed. I used to see professionals, well-minded, healthy individuals and now I only see people wanting something quick to eat. I stopped past the other day and ordered a burger..disgusting. It had me sick for 3 days from GERD..all the unnecessary sloppy toppings! I hate to stop patronizing this establishment especially since its black owned. I really did love, love, love the food. No longer. Another company trying to cut costs in this insane economy. I get it but this place has done an 180 and not for the better. I gave it 1 star because of the sweets and juice that they source other companies are still good. Other than that I’ll keep my $35 for 1 nasty burger, cold tasteless fries, 1 drink and 1 cake. The mungbean salad and rice bowls were my favorite and even those don’t taste the same. Word of advice maybe use your own people to cook the food and go back to the original recipes, because, it’s off. This review is only after continuing to return and hoping I was visiting on a bad day and still getting the same results. Kinda annoyed, so yea.

I’ve been going to ELife since its inception. But I think my days are numbered. I understand good and bad days, but today was really disappointing. The prices have gone up and the quality is way down. I had garlic kale that was way too garlicky. The chicken salad was ok, but the recipe is different. The tofu was not even edible, it tasted like I was eating a mouthful of salt!!! The beets and carrot salad were meh. The original recipes were way better. This food tastes like cardboard! I hate to throw food away so I struggled through food in which each bite was a little bit worse than the one before. And the servers are not the picture of health. The whole vibe was just off.
