We had heard positive things about this place so we decided to give it a try. Went on a Sunday afternoon around 3:30 and there was no other patrons in the place! Let me start by saying, this is an extremely casual place. The dining area is not really indoors, rather, more of a screened in porch. The menu offers salads, burgers, sandwiches and a couple of dinners. I ordered a chicken wrap and my husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The food arrived quickly and it was good sized portions. It was also tasty. They do serve beer at this place; not sure if the serve hard spirits though. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Only one other table came in during our visit so not a “happening place”. My only complaint was their straws are too short for the glasses so unless you are able to balance the straw on some ice, you will have to fish your straw out of your glass every time you take a drink!

This place is just fantastic. Possibly the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, and we were happy with the burgers and the fish and rice plate, too. Great beer selection, and it feels like you’re eating on someone’s porch. Great service, very friendly, and quiet enough to hear each other but still busy and happy-feeling. Would come eat the fish and chips every week!

Food was very good!!! Server was super friendly. It was raining, so slight obstacle to adjust to but made the best of it. Boozy adult milkshake always helps anything, SO GOOD.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning a little after opening and immediately got a table. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and it all came out hot. We tried the build your own burgers and the fish & chips and everything was great. This was by far the BEST fish & chips I’ve ever had in Arizona; it wasn’t greasy and was lightly battered. Great prices/portions as well. Highly recommend Bill’s!

While spending a week in Prescott we found the locals really recommended this place. We ordered the fish and chips and coleslaw and a green chili burger. The burger was very good, however the lightly breaded fish was so good we ate every single bit of it the coleslaw was fresh and crisp we did end up leaving a little bit of the hamburger behind. We chose to take food off site since we had a dog and wanted to eat at the Air Village where we were staying. Rose was extremely helpful and was very good. They have a great selection of beers available. I would highly recommend this place. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time.

During a trip to Prescott from the Valley, my mom, dad, and I had decided to hit up LazyG Brewhouse for a late lunch, early dinner situation because my dad had been getting hungry and we knew the later it got (on a Saturday), the more crowded any restaurant would be.

Upon pulling up to LazyG, my mom and dad remembered they had already been there a couple years back with my aunt and uncle, so we decided to try a different place. I had suggested Bill’s Grill due to it being a burger place that didn’t have $20+ burgers on the menu.

First note, they had a few other people in there, but like I said earlier, it was around 3 PM on a Saturday in August. It wasn’t peak time so we were able to pull into a parking spot in their parking lot super easily. We were able to seat ourselves and our server checked in on us quickly. My mom and I weren’t hungry as we wanted to get ice cream for dinner at a different place, but my dad was really hungry. Me and her got the basket of sweet potato fries and split those, while my dad got the special that was written on the board you see when you first walk in: the Philly Cheesesteak. With an addition of fries on the side that were extra ($3 – that’s how they can get away with only charging $12 for a burger).

The food came out rather quickly. Our sweet potato fries were hot, crispy, and with just the right amount of salt. I quite enjoyed them. My dad’s Philly Cheesesteak and fries weren’t anything special though. His fries, I thought, had almost no flavor and were too crunchy for my liking. But my parents didn’t find anything wrong with them and actually gave them praise, so. The sandwich, however, was where the meal fell short. It doesn’t take much to impress my dad and even he gave it 3 stars out of 5. It was mostly bread and peppers. The chipotle sauce wasn’t too chipotle and didn’t pack enough punch. There was also not much meat for a Philly Cheesesteak. The long slices of pepper were the main stars of the show as you can see in the picture. He also wished there was more cheese.

Maybe their burgers are better, but the meal wasn’t anything worth remembering for us. Also, NO AC. It was fine when we went in there, but after walking around the downtown, it would’ve been nice to sit in some AC for a couple of minutes.

I have been in the States for 22 years from New Zealand. I grew up on Fish n Chips as a normal ‘go to’ and one of my favorite meals. I have not been able to find anything close to it – UNTIL NOW!!!! Bill’s Grill has THE yummiest fish n chips that tastes the closest to home!!!
My friend highly recommended trying their fish n chips and I am SO glad he did. (He knew I tasted every fish n chips wherever went and am very picky)
I will now be choosing Bill’s Grill as my go to for ANY special occasions my husband and I have! I will also be sending all my kiwi mates here too!
WooooHoooo!!!! Thank you!!!

There are many ways to heal from a breakup. Some people take up pottery. Others find solace in yoga, journaling, or crying quietly into the sleeve of a hoodie that still smells like their ex. And then there’s me, opting for the true path to emotional recovery: burgers. Big, juicy, soul-repairing burgers.

Fresh off a lake day (and a recent emotional shipwreck courtesy of Beau), I made my way to Bill’s Grill in Prescott, where the dress code was casual enough for someone still air-drying from paddleboarding and just unhinged enough to welcome someone still emotionally damp from crying in the car. Honestly? My kind of place.

The moment I sat down, I knew I was in a safe space. The staff was friendly and fast, which is ideal when you’re one minor inconvenience away from unraveling and need sweet potato fries to stabilize your mood. Speaking of, which I ordered with a side of “the good ranch”. You know the kind: chilled, creamy, definitely not the sad watery stuff in a packet. This ranch understood me better than Beau ever did.

And the burger? A masterpiece. A glorious, messy, delicious monument to emotional resilience. Each bite felt like reclaiming a little piece of my dignity. By the time I hit the halfway mark, I was already making peace with my breakup and planning a long-term relationship, with this menu.

The vibe was chill, the food was top-tier, and for once, nobody asked me how I was doing emotionally (thank God). Just burgers, friends, and the satisfying crunch of sweet potato fries reminding me that happiness is real and occasionally deep-fried.

10/10 will absolutely be back. Because healing is hard, but a burger at Bill’s Grill makes it a hell of a lot easier. And honestly, if Beau had taken me here, we might still be together. His loss. My fries.

Bill’s Grill in Prescott is a great spot to enjoy local dishes at a reasonable price.

Positive aspects:
1. Good balance between quality and affordability.
2. Welcoming atmosphere with friendly, attentive service.
3. As first-time visitors to Prescott, we were pleasantly surprised to find seating available without a reservation.

Areas for improvement:
1. It would be nice to see the menu expanded to include some soup options.
2. The restaurant seems to be more popular with locals, which could mean it’s a hidden gem for visitors.
