I chose Karavan Restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening.
From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. We were seated in a cozy private booth that comfortably fit all of our guests and created such a warm, intimate atmosphere.
The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we ordered was delicious and full of flavor: Gulchatai Shorpo, Kattama, Manty, Eggplant Salad, Nomad Skewer Lamb, Korean Carrot Salad, Guro Lagman, and Lamb Plov. Each plate felt thoughtfully prepared and meant to be shared.
What truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Dastan. He was attentive, kind, and genuinely cared about making our celebration special. His professionalism and warmth made us feel welcome and relaxed, and it honestly felt like he was part of the reason the evening flowed so beautifully.
Thank you, Karavan, for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!

Kasymbekov D. was our incredibly enthusiastic and kind server who readily catered to every request. He was courteous and quick to help. The food and tea is fantastic and warming to the soul! The lamb kuurdak was so tender and delicious. Highly recommend!

I almost never write reviews but this is truly a gem. My wife and I are huge fans of Central Asian foods and we’ve been to quite a few. Before coming here we read a review saying that this was the best Central Asian restaurant in the Chicago area. And we can confirm that that is 100% correct. We’re so glad that we found this new Kyrgyz restaurant just 20 minutes away from us.
We visited on a Tuesday night but man was it packed. Probably because it was Ramadan. Staff was friendly. And every single dish was so authentic and perfectly eexecuted. We left with very full and satisfied stomachs.
Just for reference, these were the dishes we ordered: Beef skewers, boorsok, mampar soup, lentil soup, lagman, and eggplant salad. All were great as mentioned.

However, I believe there could be room for improvement regarding pricing, as it feels somewhat high for the offerings provided. On a positive note, the customer service is excellent, and the ambience is enjoyable. Having visited twice, I look forward to returning in the near future!

A very pleasant surprise. We were looking for a meal where we could try something different. We struck gold. This restaurant has a very interesting interior, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Even better is the food. Our server Altymbek helped us find great dishes and was very friendly. Our favorite dish was flavorful warm crispy eggplant chunks with a soft interior served with cucumbers and tomatoes. A wonderful sauce made this dish like nothing we’ve ever had. And this was just the start! Our food was excellent.
