Pretty average all the way around – Might go back – Might not
Party of seven for lunch. Got there at 11:15 and the place was empty which could be expected. None of us had been before. Jill, our server was friendly and fun. Was patient with us as folks decided what they wanted.
The homemade bean soup was good – not great. The Rueben sandwich was good, not great. The fish basket was good. The shrimp basket was probably the best. Larger shrimp and perfectly fried. The meatloaf was OK – not great. The beers were cold.
Atmosphere is exactly what you would expect – look at the pictures. Prices were fairly reasonable. Everyplace is expensive these days.

Food was delicious, had the bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. One of the best burgers I’ve had. Service was a little slow, and the server brought 2 Pepsis when my ther guest stated they needed a minute to decide. She didnt wait for her to choose her drink, basically chose it for her. Food toom a little while to come out but was fresh and hot and yummy. Definitely would return.

I went to Beanies to have lunch I knew the place but never had gone to eat, I told my family I wanted to try it out so we did, The service was amazing very polite and accurate on our order, the waiting time was great and the hostess and the bar manager made us feel at home we will surely come back thank for your amazing service. Been here many times and usually get wings, reuben, or burgers and have always been satisfied but this time I decided to get the shrimp Alfredo… bad mistake to say the least. It was almost inedible. Over cooked spaghetti noodles not Fettuccine, canned barley warm Alfredo sauce and the shrimp were terrible. And after 15 minutes of hearing the obnoxiously loud drunk lady cackling at the top her her lungs i had to leave before my wife could finish her meal which she actually was enjoying.

We went during snowbird season. Apparently this is a favorite spot for snowbirds. Although we arrived very early for dinner, the other snowbirds beat us. We had about 45-50 minutes of wait time. We expected a wait because it was a weekend and we knew this was a popular venue.
Once we were seated, our waitstaff took care of us very quickly. We waited a moderate amount of time for our main course. (A salad or appetizer is recommended on those busy weekends.)
Our service was impeccable.
They have an interesting variety of choices in food. The food was prepared as ordered and tasted great. Big portion sizes. We had plenty of leftovers.
There is a bar and it can be a little loud. There’s plenty of tables away from the bar if you bring your family or a group.
Most of the people were seated indoors environment. There are tables outside.
Beanies is very economical. Lots of affordable options. Good location to take a small group/family for a feasible dining experience.

This is a hidden Ruskin/Apollo Beach gem, the food is just old school bar and grill, but all of it made fresh. You can even get a pitcher of beer! The service is great and the atmosphere would remind you of your favorite bowling alley as a kid. We have been here a few times and it is now in our regular rotation. For all of you eating at the Irish bars in the area, try this instead!

Definitely the worst spot I’ve been to in Florida so far! We got seated, waited over a half hour to even get a drink….then had to get a completely different waitress because we had waited so long….then waited over another hour if not longer to get our food! We only got appetizers! No apologies for waiting so long no thanks for coming once we left! And not to mention, im the womens restroom there was a chalk board in the stall that said are you in a cult? WTH!! DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK! And the food was room temperature and tasted bad!! If I could leave less than a 1 star 1 would! Horrible service!!

The foods great. I love coming here. Pulled pork is the best choice for me at the moment and tenders are a solid choice. The burger is a solid choice as well. Is it 10/10 quality absolute best i’ve ever had? Nope, but it is always an enjoyable meal that is consistent. I know i will get a good cooked meal no matter what time i go.
The crowd of customers who come in, are good people. I see the same ones all the time. If it wasnt good, i wouldnt see the same people every week. I am also happy to be one of those said people.
I have had all the servers at some point, and none of them have ever let me down. I appreciate the good service. I have come for lunch, dinner, night, and they always do a good job.
Now…for the bad.
The mixed drinks are not good, rum runner has zero flavor, it needs to be mixed slightly better and needs to have a good balance, it tasted like i drank straight from a bottle, which shouldnt be the case, unless i am drinking straight from the bottle! Rum runner lovers appreciate the taste over the alcohol content.
The margarita tastes quite literally like cough drops in water and mixed with a margarita powder mix. You can tell it was something just pulled off a store shelf and with ice thrown in it. It was as sad as popcorn forgotten in the corner of a movie theatre. Truly might be the worst marg i have ever had my entire life honestly. It was so bad I had to keep tasting it to remember this day in history to never order it again and might quit drinking all together. If you want something to rethink your life choices on, this is the drink. Rename it “true inspiration”.
At the end of the day, I don’t come here to drink, i come here for food, and the food is like i said, good, but its CONSISTENT and great. That is what people want in a restraunt, consistency, good service and good food! It is an delicious and affordable local place that knows how to maintain it’s business and it is a place that you will come to appreciate. There is a reason why it has been around for a long time, and a reason why i have been as well.
I definitely recommend you try it out for yourself!
