The best thing we had was the extra virgin olive oil with bread, everything else was pretty meh. The next best dish was the kids’ penne alla vodka, which could definitely be improved by adding a bit more cream; it was a little too acidic. But oh man, the veal marsala was awful! The sorrentino was just okay, and the veal rosemary was a complete waste of time. Please work on your recipes, none of these would be hard to fix!

It was an exhausting first experience.
Our first mistake was sitting at the bar to eat. The moment we walked in, the environment consisted of obnoxious, drunk men, with foul mouths. From 4:30pm to 6:00pm that’s all we listened to. It took us awhile to get the attention of all the servers/waitresses/waiters. People were vaping.
I understand the holiday craziness but this seemed over the top.
The food was very good. I will give them that. The workers were very nice.
I don’t expect we will go back!

I was only here two times…but I enjoyed both my visits. Our servers were young and inexperienced, but friendly, accommodating, and hard working. The bartenders are very friendly as well. I rate the food between good and excellent. The portions are decent. The ambiance is rustic and cozy, yet classy…and their patio is gorgeous. On our second visit, we were lucky enough to hear their in-house “opera singer” sing “happy birthday” several times, operatic style. I think he works in the kitchen. Honestly, I cannot wait to go back.

Not my first time here but chef J really took us on a delicious journey. We went in a group and decided to let him make a few family style dishes and it was really great. We each said a couple things we like to eat and we let him pick a few recommendations. The steak was my favorite and I was astonished at the flavor on the sear ! My food … none of it needed salt or pepper and that’s a real problem at restaurants today with bland foods but Everything we had was packed with flavor ! And the salad with smoked bacon , grilled peaches and a sweet balsamic dressing was out of this world ! Then we had this crusty garlic bread with a crab topping and spinach with cheese that was so comforting and satisfying. Fun drink menu. I had some type of Christmas spirit drink and it had a sugared rim that looked like the Italian flag ! I see other reviews that say sometimes service isn’t always top notch etc but I would say that’s true for most places especially when it’s really busy. I prefer going out during the week or earlier when I feel I get more attentive service and when I go places I say it’s my first time here or I saw a review saying this place was good so I give the servers extra initiative and it doesn’t hurt to be nice (it does a long way) Our waiter gents was really accommodating and outgoing. I had a wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back for that steak and salad and I want to try the vodka sauce. As you can see even my pics look good. Many people make reviews and don’t even post pictures or describe anything. I hope you find my review helpful. Happy dining !

From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like part of the family. The decor takes you to old Tuscany, but with a modern twist. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy a fantastic fun delicious meal.
Everything was great. The bread was perfect, with a great crunchy exterior and a warm, soft, chewy middle. I had the bone in veal chop, parmigiana style. It was perfectly fried, crisp still, under the sauce and melted fresh mozzerella. The meat was tender and still moist. My colleague had the Chilean sea bass special which was perfectly cooked and very flavorful. For dessert I had the Peanut Butter Bomb, and if you are a chocolate lover, this was a rich decadent treat, very sweet, but I enjoyed it. The real surprise was the pistachio ice cream. They don’t make it in-house, and I didn’t figure out the brand, but it was the best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever tasted. It was creamy, with whole nuts, and it had a full roasted pistachio flavor with hints of butter and caramel.

We dined in for dinner. Everything was really good and the staff were really nice. I didn’t expect it to be that busy on a Wednesday night but it was maybe because we’re in a heat wave so not many people sat outside so it was good that we made a reservation. We started with the bruschetta, eggplant, and calamari which were all delicious then I got the ravioli al pomodoro which was good. For dessert we had lava cake with icecream which was rich chocolate and tasted amazing. Definitely a high end restaurant and would recommend for any date night or family night.

I love La Stalla, and last night I finally got to share it with my family. Lido took care of us, took our pictures when we came in and was so patient and coursed our dinner perfectly. Every time we got up we were given a new napkin, handling of all dishes and items on the table was perfect…nice to still find a fine dining experience these days. The food was amazing as always too. Julia was also so personable and helped us take pictures too again before we left. Always a favorite!

I have to agree that some of the more pessimistic reviews are accurate to our dinner experience. It was super busy, which was a good sign. The rolls/bread are excellent. The pesto oil was very good. Marinara was tasty. Calamari was fresh but lacked any real flavor. Chicken Marsala was pretty weak. Chicken literally wasn’t even salt/pepper seasoned; Mushrooms were not fresh. Carbonara pasta was tasty. Crème brûlée was kind of a let down, not bad, but not good. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Our server Samantha was great! We enjoy trying new places and we were impressed with the family style rustic indoor/ outdoor seating and sitting under the pergola… beautiful. It sort of transported us to a recent dining experience in Greece. Loved the octopus salad. Loved the Rigatoni Carbonara..that we took the left overs and had it for dinner two days later and it was just as good…and we never take away restaurant left overs which means 1- the portions were great 2- the food was outstanding. We will definitely be back!
