This was my first time here. I was impressed with the service and the menu. The variety was plentiful, they had a kids menu. The food was hot and good. They offer a variety of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks. We did stand at the front for a little longer than I would have liked upon arriving but the tentativeness of the server made up for that. The bathrooms were clean as well. Casual dining, jeans or dress it up! I read someone said this is a best kept secret, I’d have to agree! Great place to check out.

We tried the Honey Stung burger and chicken nachos. The burger was ok but the nachos were not great. Asked for white queso on the nachos, it came out in a side container and was cold and stiff, couldn’t even pour it on. Fishbowl Long Islands came out blue …odd….and tasted like kool-aid. A little pricey for the quality of food. Or at least what we had. They do have a pretty big menu so maybe would go back and try something else next time.

Went around lunchtime and had great service. We had a buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer which was great. I had the blue cheese steak tip wedge salad which was also delicious. I will definitely return in the future. 9/10 recommend

This is a new place and I hope they pay attention to these reviews and make improvements.
We were initially seated at a table that was in a main path for servers and customers alike, despite the fact that it was early and not very busy – plenty of other tables and booths available. We were near the restroom and the water refill station, and at one point someone walked between my chair and the latter (no more than a foot of space there). I requested to move to a booth.
Our server was attentive, but I don’t think he had much experience. He failed to mention that there were happy hour specials, which we might have taken advantage of if we knew about them before we ordered our meal. I ordered a turkey burger that tasted like no other turkey burger I’ve ever had. It’s difficult to see in this photo, but it seemed like cooked, shredded meat that was formed into a patty, instead of ground meat as a burger usually is. That made for an odd texture. It was also overly salty. My husband ordered a Philly cheese steak, which was good, but fairly small – more like a lunch portion than a dinner portion. Fries, included with each of our orders, were decent seasoned fries, but nothing you can’t get anywhere else.
I have read other reviews about the staff who seat customers, indicating that they didn’t talk much and merely pointed to the table. I witnessed both of those things during our visit, although the person who seated us did neither.
When we were finished, our server brought the bill and said we could “check out” anytime (no rush). We were sincerely unsure whether we should pay him or if there was a cash register somewhere that we hadn’t noticed. The bill did not come in the usual book-type holder (?), just a receipt left on the table. When he came back, he took that and our credit card, which I found a bit unnerving. I’m used to the card being tucked away in that book, I suppose, so it feels a little less vulnerable than someone just coming by and taking your credit card.
I’ll end this long review by saying that the peppermint candies on the way out the door were plentiful and yummy.

I haven’t been to the original Big Whiskey’s, but I do really like the one in Lee’s Summit. My wife and I along my son had a great experience. Burgers were just the way we ordered and fries and onion rings were great as well. Icing on the cake is the choice of whiskey they have.

Portions are small while prices are big. Medicore service. You would be better off going to a chain applebees. Below pictured is a $6 fish bowl long island ice tea. Notice the tall glass and the blue hue. I went to the bar tender after my waiter couldn’t tell me what was in it. This is indeed a long island fish bowl as ordered. What a joke!

Not very impressed. The fries were extremely over seasoned. The burger was insanely dense and had very little flavor. The BBQ sauce only helped the smallest amount. The wait time for the food was quite long for the amount of people in the restaurant. The only saving grace was the customer service was quite decent and when there was a mistake with one of the burgers he was quick to grab the toppings they had missed. This is the second time that we tried them and both were bad experiences food wise.

The restaurant was clean and had an inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and made sure our drinks were refilled often.
The reason for the 3 stars is the food. Very bland. The buffalo chicken dip was good but the queso that came in the dip trio could have been way better. Our burgers had no flavor at all. At first I thought I just needed more sauce for the Viking Burger but when I got more, I realized that the sauce itself is just super watery and has no flavor.
Good service, but probably would not return for the bland food.
