Tonight, we chose to come here for Valentine’s Day because we knew other places would be packed. Unfortunately, this visit will be our last. While our server was quiet and sweet and the food was great, the atmosphere turned sour quickly.
After we finished eating, my husband took our toddler to the restroom. I started noticing various servers coming to the patio—not to bus tables or check on us, but to peek out the gate. After three different people did the same thing, I even looked behind me to see what they were watching. Nobody was there. When I went to the front to ask for the check, I asked a staff member if they were checking to see if we’d left. She said she was, I was like wow that’s rude and blunt. We weren’t going to dine and dash. We’re not like that and we have our kids with us! I talk to the manager and she was rude, nonchalant, and couldn’t care less. I told her you know teach them to at least go ask us if we need water and she said oh no that they’re trained to do that. Bussing tables by looking to see if we left? They never asked if we wanted our plates moved or more water. This was so rude and honestly my feelings were hurt! My husband didn’t tip and I felt bad because the waiter was actually sweet. Sorry, I mean it. Ha end of story! Not a family oriented place. Ownership and empathy goes a long ways.Let me start by saying we genuinely used to love this place; it was our go-to for dates and family lunches. The patio is great because the kids can be themselves, and the food is always delicious.

During my visits, I’ve been particularly impressed by the quality and variety of their craft beers. The brews are consistently excellent, featuring both classic flavors and innovative blends that cater to a range of palates. The Sequoia Red Ale and the General Sherman IPA are personal favorites, both of which showcase the brewery’s commitment to flavor and quality.
The food menu pairs perfectly with their beers, offering a selection of hearty and well-prepared dishes. The burgers and wings come highly recommended, both for their portion sizes and the quality of ingredients used. The service here deserves a special mention—staff are knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about their offerings, which enhances the overall dining experience.
One of the unique features of Sequoia Brewing is their commitment to the community, often hosting live music and local events that add to the vibrant atmosphere of the place. It’s a great spot to unwind after work or to gather with friends over the weekend.
While almost entirely positive, my experiences have been slightly marred by occasional delays during peak hours, which seems to be a result of the venue’s popularity rather than a lack of effort from the staff.
Overall, Sequoia Brewing is a gem in Fresno’s culinary and craft beer scene, providing a consistently enjoyable experience that I would recommend to both locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a beer aficionado or simply in search of a pleasant spot to relax, Sequoia Brewing is worth the visit.
We washed it down with a couple of pints of beer and it was so damn satisfyiing that I really look forward to going there again and ordering the exact same meal.
Great ambiance and clean restrooms. You can tell a lot about an eating establishment by the way they maintain their restrooms, and their restrooms are nice, Nothing but positive vibes here.
Staff was very good. Don’t really care for the new look, seemed “clinical” for lack of a better word. Or maybe like a waiting room rather than what it was. Prices increased quite a bit, but quality did not.
Kudos to the staff, they were great.
Ribs were my fav!
The service was amazing: quick, friendly, efficient. The server even made recommendations for places to check out during our road trip through California.
The beer was great – I had the Big Horn Red IPA as well as the General Sherman IPA and both were awesome. Food was pretzel bites and pastrami sandwich and that was incredible too.
If you’re looking for a laid back place with great food and drinks, this is it! Looks like it’s popular with locals as well – there were a lot of people who looked like regulars. 10/10
