The food was okay overall. Great pancakes, and the service was decent.
We ordered two plates of Eggs Benedict’s, and 3/4 poached eggs were overcooked to the point of being hard.
We sent them back and asked for new ones, and 15 minutes later received three in a bowl of water and uncooked whites. They were undercooked now and not seasoned at all.
Great place for pancakes and crepes, not Benedict’s.

The Orignial Pancake House in Vista California is an ideal breakfast spot to get your day in San Diego started off right! Delicious, homemade flavored food, healthy portions, and coffee refills for days (haha…). You get alot of food for the price! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, fast service, and all are welcome. Will not return. Do not recommend. The tuck you away in the back if you have children, the food has a weird aftertaste. They got my egg order incorrect. I ordered a kids OJ and handed us a large and tried to charge me for large. They also charged me $4 for adding chocolate chips inside of buttermilk pancakes. My coffee mug was empty 3 times. IHOP service is way better

We came in as a big group on Saturday. We waited for a while to be seated and it took several hours to place and receive our orders. But the staff was trying their best to accommodate us.
I tried many dishes. The cherry crepe was delicious but i couldn’t finish it because the portion was big (all of their dishes are huge portions). I’m a fan of their potato pancakes! The apple pancake looked huge but tasty. The walnut pancakes were a bit dry for my taste because I don’t like having syrup in general. Overall it’s a good place for weekend breakfast/brunch.

Food taste was decent, kinda bothers me when a menu says “A Thick slice of honey maple ham” and the slice comes out thin as the fork. Kind of a little bit of false advertising. Slow service. Doubtful I’d visit again.

We were seated quickly, made it seem hopeful for good service. Had to ask twice for everything. Wasn’t impressed with the pancakes. Fresh ingredients are always better pancakes were a little under cooked but that’s just my opinion It was my first time visiting don’t think I would go back.

I have had the most amazing brunch experience at this location. The breakfast meals are spectacular, and come in large and generous portions. The staff is so amazing, caring, friendly and welcoming. The food quality is top notch. Although me and my family ordered a variety of meals and they all were tasty, my favorite was German Pancake, Cali Benedict, and Corn Beef Hash. As a Canadian from Vancouver traveling in San Diego, I had an unmatched brunch experience and I got an authentic taste of an American style brunch. I highly recommend it to everyone, you will get your money worth it.
