We came here last night for the first time. I ordered the Molcajete combo & It was Awesome!! Very Good & alot of food. Our waitress was very nice & the service was fast even though they were packed. Would definitely recommend.

First off Juan the server was excellent. He was attentive and great at everything he did. House margarita was like drinking lime water. Very little tequila and way watered down. The tacos were good. Great flavor and plenty of meat and toppings. The guacamole was just OK. Far from fresh and no cilantro. The chips and salsa were on par for any Mexican restaurant. We also had a combo plate with a cheese enchilada, rice and beans, also what I would expect from of a chain type Mexican restaurant. Overall, for two margaritas, water, two of the same combo plates and two beef tacos, I expected a little more for $60.

Before Miss Alabama USA 2022 we went to El Dorado to get some lunch. I wish we all knew how big the portions were, since all places are for 2 people almost, including kids meals. Drinks are also large. And I will say the large margarita, which I ordered myself, is for at least 3 people.
I got the chance to try all plates and appetizers. Chips and salsa are amazing, queso was definitely out if this world. Meats were cooked and seasoned deliciously, and I’ll say steaks have fat (I love this, some people don’t). Kids meals were both good. Fries were large as well but I took the picture too late!
The rest of my family ordered 1 bowl of soup that was enough for 4 people to take a small cup, they shared some beef and tortillas as well. 2 plates were enough for 4 people. We all took containers to go and took almost half of the meal home, which was great because we got to have some more later and food really is GOOD.
We ordered 11 meals, 6 drinks, 1 small margarita and 1 large margarita and the check was $180, tipped $60 (which was fair enough-)
Will definitely come back next year!

Really enjoyed the meal! It was so big I ate a quarter of it. I had a chosen and vegetables dish and the other is a pork dish. Had it all with tortillas to wrap. I wasn’t impressed with the guac it was kind of fluffy like it had been whipped. But the rest was really good!

Fast service and the portion sizes are HUGE! We eat here at least once per week and are never disappointed. Table side Guacamole is excellent, and tacos el pastor is my fav dish. The staff are amazing and we always feel welcome and leave way too full. Mateo is the man!

I asked for a Happy Margarita which is the highest drink on the menu and the waiter kept telling me it was not a special. We waited 30 minutes for him to come back and check us out. Oh, and the order was wrong. The food is good though when it’s right.

If you’re thinking about ordering from El Dorado Mexican Restaurant, let me do you a favor, don’t.
I placed and paid for my order online. Showed up, expecting a simple handoff. Instead, I’m told my food’s already been picked up. Confused, I show them proof—order confirmation, payment, timestamp, everything. Their response? No apology. No solution. Just a shrug and “come back later when the manager’s here.”
Not only did they refuse to remake the food, but the staff also got aggressive. One slammed money on the counter like I had done something wrong—for asking for the food I PAID for. The energy was dismissive, disrespectful, and frankly, racist. I was treated like a problem instead of a paying customer.
The staff member also claimed ‘a Black guy came and picked up your food’—as if that justified the situation. This was completely inappropriate, racially charged, and felt like an attempt to both excuse the mistake and deflect blame by invoking racial profiling.
And here’s the kicker: after I walked out, I get a message saying my order is ready for pickup. So which is it? You gave it away, or you lied to my face to avoid responsibility?
You don’t play with people’s money, time, or dignity. But apparently, El Dorado does.
I will never return, and if you value being treated like a human being, I suggest you don’t either.
UPDATE: I find it odd how the transaction magically disappeared from my bank. (Vid attached).

The food here was really good. We enjoyed coming in after a game and taking a little break and getting some food before we got on the road. The fajitas were really yummy that I had. The atmosphere was your standard Mexican food restaurant
