This little place was booming! It’s in the perfect spot across from the local high school. We both opted for cheeseburgers & fries. Classic. I chose to go with a plain one and my fiancé went with a fully loaded one. He enjoyed it, as did it. The meat was great, and wasn’t one of those premade patties. These were likely hand patted ground beef. The patties were also thick and juicy! Prices were cheap enough, and it would be a great place to grab something quick and cheap. They also provided salt packs with the fries to salt to your own liking, which I appreciated. I should have tried one of the floats, but wasn’t in the mood for sweets. If you’re in the area be sure to dine locally, because you can’t beat it!

This little food joint is absolutely amazing! The food was so fresh, not greasy, it was all perfect! Renee was the best and made our first time here memorable. Prices are extremely reasonable. Would absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

Nice place when I saw it from the road I thought window trays and girls on skates.

No such luck but the food was on point no doubt about that.

Great place to stop other than the big franchises.

Even though it was packed out the service was amazing friendly and most of all fast. The food was amazing as always when stopping here to eat. Also didn’t have to wait long at all after placing our order the food is always made fresh and always served hot and quick so I high recommend eating here or at least try it you will not be disappointed

Love the place to eat. This trip, got a gallon of root beer $5.00. Was going to refill my 2- 1/2 gallon promotional jugs but the cost is $3.00 each, that would be $6.00. To begin with the 1/2 gallons cost $5.50 each with rootbeer, so not a good buy to refill. Was going to get the mug $5.50 also but you have to purchase the root beer, extra. So again not a good deal. They need to rethink refill pricing on their promotions.

The best burgers within a 300 mile radius. Service is excellent, food was superb and the wait time is negligible.
Go here before you visit one of the fast food bioengineered fake and overpriced restaurants, you won’t regret it.

This is a dive delight, we aren’t from the area and had been looking for a place to eat. We drove by and noticed all the cars and decided to give it a chance. This place did not miss! Great service, we got the food fast and it tasted great. Wish me had one back home. OH and did I mention they have great prices too. I guess you can get it good, fast and cheap at this dive!

I have never heard of this place till I was brought here by my husband. The food is so good and the homemade root beer, let’s just say I’m ruined and can never have it any other way. When you take that first bite from your burger or food you immediately think of home. I love it. Oh and the prices you literally can’t beat it. You get more than your dollars worth here. I would have taken a picture of my burger but I’ve already ate it. Definitely a place to go to.

I have been coming to this location for over 40 years. I’ve seen name changes and building changes and some of the waitresses have been there for over 20+ years. When it became Crabtree’s, it became one of the most sought after tastes in this part of Kentucky and from circling the parking lot for 10 minutes, jockeying for a place under the sun faded canopy, it still is, today.
Simple carhop food, like burgers and fries, footlongs and some of the tastiest onion rings I’ve ever had, you will not regret stopping.
I fed my 3 day old daughter a drop of orange float here over 30 years ago
(They only have root beer floats, now, sadly)
I was sad to see that they have taken the iconic window-mounted trays out (because of Covid, they said) and I didn’t see the old glass root beer mugs, either, which for years was a staple attraction for tourists and locals, alike. (Sad face)
It was definitely a taste that took me back years ago and whenever I come to this neck of the woods, I’ll definitely stop for more.
