Ernie Whiteford and his staff provided the meal for our daughter’s wedding yesterday and everything was top notch. Arrived on time, had everything perfectly prepared. Delicious and hearty servings. Ernie was a pleasure to work with. Very polite and accommodating. Highly recommend and would not hesitate to use again.

I ordered 2 Cheeseburger plates, a hamburger plate, a Cheeseburger(just the Cheeseburger) on November 1st, cost was $30 and this is what I got!! The patties were only about half the size of the kid-size bun. The Hamburger with the plate was just the tiny patty..no lettuce/tomatoe/onions..the single Cheeseburger(sandwich only-no sides)was the same, tiny patty, cheese and no lettuce/tomato/onion. I’ve eaten at Whitefords many, many times growing up but this will absolutely be my last time I will ever order/dine-in from Whitefords again. Ya’ll should be ashamed of yourselves for serving(let alone charging $30!!)this to customers! Whitefords use to be the go to place if you wanted a good variety of menu items and for sure some of the best burgers in town but I would have gotten better quality food(definitely better pricing for the quality of food)at McDonald’s!! Do better, but I’m done with ever eating there again!

Only a few customers when I finally got to actually get inside to eat here (it was always closed on other occasions when I got there). Apparently, this restaurant is closed after 5:00 PM and weekends… Nobody was there on Saturdays or Sundays when I went there before 5 PM). It would have been an alright place to relax and eat if they didn’t have someone constantly mopping the floor around our table while we were eating, and considering that there was only 5-6 customers actually inside getting to-go orders, they could have waited until close to mop the floor. The food is way too high priced for such low quality. No flavoring in the food, soda pop was not mixed correctly and the tea was horribly over brewed and under sweetened. The only thing that was actually delicious was the french fries. SMH. The atmosphere seriously lacks, it felt quite ‘dead’, stuffy, and uninviting inside. We spent over an hour there and only saw a certain ‘age group’ coming and going. I believe that with a few good changes, this restaurant would be a game changer for the owners. Until then, I won’t be eating there again. *** UPDATE: MY KIDS AND I DID NOT EAT AT THE ‘LOCATION IN CLINTON’ !!!! THE OWNER OF LAURENS LOCATION IS OBVIOUSLY DELUSIONAL AND/OR BLIND TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEIR STAFF AND RESTAURANT!!!*** 2ND UPDATE: 12-27-2025: My kids and I decided to try Whiteford’s of Laurens a second time and it was a horrible mistake. The first time we ate there it was a bad experience but, this time around was absolutely horrible. Everything from the mashed potatoes and gravy to the so-called ‘steak’ tasted absolutely disgusting. Everything had a strong smell and taste of vinegar and the green beans had a rotten pork meat smell and taste. The woman who took our food order was rude and kept saying that they are NOT the Whiteford’s of Clinton. I will be going to the one in Clinton to try that restaurant to make comparisons. We are never going to eat at Whiteford’s of Laurens again!!! 2 strikes and they’re out!!! We ended up eating at a better restaurant across the street.

I was traveling through Laurens and saw “Giant Burger”, so I stopped to get supper (burger plater) and back on the road.
The people behind the counter were very friendly and smiled creating a good atmosphere in the restaurant. They delivered my bag over the counter with a smile and “thank you”.
The Food: The beans were fairly good and the fries were also fairly good. Both were very small portions.
The burger (not the “giant burger”) was so small. It was in the middle of the bun and there was at least 1/4 inch of bun showing all around the burger and was actually 1/2 inch in some places. I would say there was at least 3 times more bread than burger. The meat was about the same thickness as on the Wendy’s burger and tasted very much like the Wendy’s $2,00 Jr. Hamburger . The plater was certainly not worth the money I paid. $7.71 for a $ 2.00 hamburger, a small portion of fries and small portion of baked beans, including $ .44 for a small senior cup of water. I did not expect the burger to be “Giant”, but I didn’t expect the meat in the burger to be “mini”. It would have fit on a dinner roll very well.
Cannot recommend this as a good place to eat because of the food being just below average and the high price for the small portions I received.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. We ordered ribs,onion rings and baked beans and ended up throwing everything away after just a few bites. We will not be back. On a positive note the sweet tea was good.

Food is okay. I wouldn’t recommend the chicken tenders & it’s pretty hard to mess that up. Okra was overcooked. The macaroni and cheese, though; it’s really good.
On another note, the inside was well maintained in the seating area, drink area & condiment area. Plus, its retro vibes are a hit. I will give them another try someday.

We normally enjoy breakfast. But dinner was far from enjoyable. Fried chicken skin was soggy. Fries on everyone’s plate was cold The lettuce in the salad was discolored and seemed to be frozen. There were baked beans in the macaroni and cheese. The only thing that was good was the cheeseburger and the roll with the fried chicken plate

Some of worst BBQ I have ever had!!! The ribs overly smoked no seasoning taste just smoked.They have no idea how to cook ribs.The pork was crap dry and tasteless.They are cooking for the money not pride in the bbq,and the people are eating the crap .We were passing through and thought what the heck that quickly changed to what the hell is this.They should apologize to the pig !

The service was fast and the cashier was friendly. I got the bbq sampler and everything was really delicious, juicy, and cooked well. The burger was good and the pulled pork sandwich was good too. You get a good amount of food for the price. We will be coming back!!
