Had a group of 9 having lunch. Ordering was easy, food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and accurately. The fried pork chops had a nice crispy coating and tasty gravy on top. Side of cabbage was very good and seasoned well. Servers were very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend for a lunch spot.

All of the staff were very friendly. Our waitress Trinity was so sweet and helpful. The food was really good overall, but the shrimp could have used a little more seasoning. The slaw is good, slaw can be hit or miss, but not here! My husband had stopped here before while traveling and wanted to go back. This will most likely be a regular stop for us. This is a good exit to take a break.

We stopped by on our way home and had an excellent experience. The fried chicken was absolutely delicious—very juicy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. I ordered the Grammy’s pot roast over rice, and it was incredibly tasty. My husband enjoyed the food so much that he ordered another dish to take with us for the road. If you’re looking for authentic Southern comfort food, this is definitely the right place.

️ A Must-Stop Dining Experience in Florence, South Carolina ️

If you’re traveling through Florence, SC and looking for a restaurant that delivers exceptional customer service, bold flavors, and true from-scratch cooking, Julia Bella’s deserves a spot at the top of your list.

We originally stumbled upon Julia Bella’s when another place was closed—and what a fortunate discovery it turned out to be.

The food speaks for itself:

The pork chops with gravy had my father raving long after the plates were cleared.

I went with the chicken and waffles with peach, and it honestly ranks among the best I’ve ever had—stacked up against restaurants all along the coast and even in Las Vegas.

My wife chose the honey pecan chicken roll, which was bursting with layered flavors and perfectly balanced sweetness and savory notes.

Every dish tasted like it was made from scratch and with love—the kind of cooking you can feel in every bite. Pair that with outstanding service, and you’ve got a restaurant that stands out in all the right ways.

As we travel for Property Tenders, we’re always on the lookout for great local spots—and Julia Bella’s is now a regular stop for us anytime we pass through Florence.

⭐ Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality food, unique flavors, and genuine hospitality in Florence, South Carolina.

Yum!

1400 plus reviews in a small rural city speaks for itself!
Service was polite.
Food was delicious and generous.
Nothing fancy though! If you want fancy, go to town hall or victor’s, but dine here for real good food!

Great home-cooking just off I-95. We had fried green tomatoes, fried catfish nuggets, and the cheeseburger salad for dinner. The fried green tomatoes and the cheeseburger salad are highlights. Another highlight is how friendly and helpful the staff are. The catfish nuggets are inspired. Negatives would be hush puppies were overcooked + silverware was so dull it was difficult to cut my salad. Overall, we will definitely be stopping here again & never mind Cracker Barrel down the street.

Was in town on a Saturday and stumbled across Julia Belle’s. I arrived around 1045 which ended up being a blessing in disguise. Originally I had planned on grabbing lunch, but went with the chicken and waffles with peaches instead. The food blew my expectations out of the water. Originally from Vermont, I always cringe at the thought of store-bought syrup on my waffles, pancakes, etc. But it wasn’t even a factor. The waffle was cooked perfectly, one of the best I’ve ever had, and paired with the peaches there was no need for syrup. The chicken tenders were also cooked perfectly, no sauces needed. The entire meal cost about $18, worth every penny.

Three different members of the staff checked on me during my meal and they were all incredibly friendly. The setting was simple, but very clean and comfortable. I did notice that the traffic started to pick up as soon as they began serving lunch at 1100.

If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try. Arrive early to avoid any waits.

As someone raised in Alabama and having lived extensively in Arkansas and South Carolina, I have enjoyed authentic Southern cooking virtually all my life. It is rare to find a restaurant that truly captures the heart and soul of this beloved cuisine, but the Julia Belle’s Restaurant does so beautifully. The fried pork chops were perfectly seasoned and cooked to tender, juicy perfection; the fresh sliced tomatoes tasted like they were just picked from the garden; and the mashed potatoes with rich, savory gravy were nothing short of outstanding. Every bite evoked cherished memories of meals prepared by my mother, grandmothers, and aunts—some of the finest Southern cooks I’ve ever known. Though I’m not a cook myself, I know exceptional Southern food when I taste it, and this establishment delivers the real thing. From the warmth of the flavors to the unmistakable home-cooked quality, the Julia Belle’s Restaurant serves pure, traditional Southern cuisine at its very best. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and deeply satisfying taste of the South.

We stopped at the Hampton Inn behind it and didn’t feel like getting on the road searching for food. Boy were we glad we didn’t the food was outstanding my wife had the shrimp chowder with a biscuit and I had the grilled pork chops and we were both very very happy with our choices. The biscuits were scratch made and the spicy collard greens meant I at least got my greens late for new year’s. We really enjoyed our meal and the kind and helpful staff who checked to be sure we enjoyed our meal and time spent here. Unfortunately, I have no photos because I ate my food and there would’ve been nothing but an empty plate. And the banana pudding was good too.
