Unclean, flies everywhere even on the food. Theres also a chubby blonde hair dude with glasses and wearing a gold chain working the register inside. He needs to lose the attitude also. Everyone from the drive through is getting refunds. We’ve been here for almost an hour now and they told me they accidentally threw away my order. Photo of chubby rude guy included.

Even though I ordered ahead on the app, it took FOREVER to get my order. It’s possible that they were short staffed, because one person was going back and forth from the drive through to the register at the front.
The line at the register was long. I saw at least one couple abandon their wait.

Was charged 8.27% tax. The specific fast food tax is exactly 7.4%. I ordered a Texas double whopper for $10.19. Just the burger i paid $11.03. A difference of $ .84 cents=8.27% tax. No telling how long folks have been getting robbed. A few months back i paid around $13.50 for the same burger, which is what got me thinking since I had almost a 30 min wait! So I googled it and here’s the outcome.
The total combined tax rate for prepared meals, such as those sold at Burger King, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, is 7.4%. This rate is a combination of state, county, and city taxes.
The breakdown of the tax rate is as follows:
New Mexico State Tax (Gross Receipts Tax): 4.88%
Carlsbad City Tax: 2.52%
Eddy County Tax: 0.00%

It may be a very small amount to everyone. But after shopping in carlsbad for going on 8 years not knowing and not having time to even think about it for the most part, all that money adds up. The locals arent even aware. I mentioned it to the person at the window and it certainly opened his eyes when I showed him the googled proof. I still paid the extra tax since I was hungry. Not much of a Christmas dinner,lol. Anyway. Thought people should know that burger king owner is a crook. Enjoy your meal!

10/4/25 — 45 min waiting in line behind 2 cars who most likely been there forever, who knows how much more longer, that was too much patience to even wait that long. Horrible service., had to leave line with many others. You can get faster food in a dine in restaurant.

The kids are with there jackets and the place iscold they do that to keep people out so the works dont have to service nobody made they should close place down if that what there works want and the owner want .it really suck in there and more the one person would tell you

I would like to say I had terrible service but we got no service at all! We sat in one lane for over five minutes while the staff repeatedly served cars in the other lane. When we backed up and moved to that lane, the same thing happened, and we were once again ignored. We had no choice but to leave and find a different restaurant to feed our hungry kids, whose excitement for a Burger King meal was completely deflated. Maybe theres a reason why we have three McDonalds to choose from and only one Burger King in Carlsbad, NM.
