Went to dinner here Sunday night, took over 5 mins to be greeted by anyone then took another 2-3 to finally get our drinks which whatever its fine, ordered the bang bang shrimp as and appetizer it seemed like it sat in the window because the “bang bang” part was almost completely soaked into the shrimp and was dry and hard we couldn’t even tell our waitress because she didn’t come back to check on us for another 10 mins, again whatever we continued on. We order the “perfect storm” with an additional pound of mussels and crawfish so my husband and I could share, we ate some there and then packed up the rest to go, We still tipped the waitress, just to get home pour out the contents and find plastic. I called the store to see if we could get a refund for only the boil part because I usually don’t do things like this but for $118 to have poor service, dry appetizer, and then plastic in our food was pretty much the cherry on top. Just for them to tell me unless I bring the food that I tossed in the garbage they are only able to give me in store credit as if this was a clothing store. I even provided through email a photo of the plastic along with random noodles that ended up in mine that weren’t supposed to be there that I will insert here. Now I’m disputing with the bank for a FULL refund. Working in food for years I have never heard of such a thing like this.

We had 7 people and almost everyone loved their choice of boil, i had the shrimp basket and it was very good and you get a-lot of food. One person from the east coast ordered the clam basket and he said, not a-lot of clams and a small bowl of soup. But overall great place and we do recommend. The boils were great, kids were all in on eating those. Service was fast too. Great waitress.

Wait staff was excellent! House drinks need some work. Food was okay, not good but also not bad. Living in the south near the gulf, where is seafood is fresh, makes a person spoiled. We would eat here again.

I did have a bit of a hiccup with my first drink; I ordered a regular lemonade, but it didn’t quite suit my taste. However, when I switched to the strawberry lemonade, it was a game changer! It was refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness.
Our server was another highlight of the evening—she was friendly, attentive, and ensured that we had everything we needed. The restaurant itself was very clean, including the restrooms, which is always a plus in my book. The open bar adds a nice touch, and there’s plenty of seating available, making it a comfortable place to dine.

This is our second time coming and both times we had Alisha as our server. She is very nice, attentive and great at her job! Not only is the seafood fresh, but it comes out in a timely manner. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Now I have DREAMED of seafood boil since I learned they existed. However, I couldn’t have dreamt of any better service! Our Waiter Cohen absolutely made sure we knew how everything worked, had our drinks full, plus had a great demeanor the whole time. Genuinely added a little “spice” to the experience!! Thank you Hook n Reel, and thank you Cohen!! Will absolutely will be back… probably next week

Attached to the back of Outback, Hook and Reel is a decent stop if you want a Cajun boil of seafood. There are a lot of options to fill your boil bag, with a variety of sauces and spice. A bit on the pricey side, but good food. Plenty of parking on the side of the building so no worries there. Give this place a try if you are in the area and want some Cajun.
