Excellent food and outstanding service! Karen took great care of us. We tried the truffle fries, clam chowder, coconut shrimp, French dip and Southwest burger and every dish was spot on. My husband has been searching for a French dip as good as the one he used to get at The Sweet Onion in Midland before it closed 20 years ago and he finally found it here. We now have a new favorite restaurant in Hartland. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, we had Crab stuffed mushrooms and pictures here is the French dip, our amazing server Noah had it plated separately, as we were sharing the sandwich …it was so good, and nice portions! Noah was attentive, professional and knew the menu extensively! He deserves some great recognition! We aren’t from the area but we sure will make the drive to try their other menu options, and have great service!

We were traveling and did a Google search for a restaurant near Howell; well Google took us a little out of our way. It’s not in Howell it’s in Hartland for anyone else doing a search. Our service was good, she was friendly and was quick on drink refills. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and my boyfriend ordered the fish tacos. They looked good, but they had issues. We both commented on how cold the tortilla was, it was COLD like they were stored in the fridge. The waitress asked how everything was and I mentioned that the tortillas were cold. She said that they didn’t have a way to warm them up. What kind of kitchen doesn’t have means to warm up a tortilla? My shrimp taco had three pieces of shrimp and 1 or 2 small pieces of pineapple and a LOT of lettuce on the bottom to make it look big. The shrimp was good by itself, but not on a very cold tortilla and a bunch of lettuce. They also charge to use a credit/debit card. This restaurant might be good for something other than tacos, but we were unsatisfied with our meal.

Just tried the dinner menu at Mackle’s! The steak tips & steak tips florentine are amazing! The environment is like walking into an Irish pub! This establishment from what I have heard has been in business over 15 years.

This restaurant is tucked in the back corner of a strip mall and does not have much curb appeal. The first entrance door is simple glass but then you’re greeted w double wood doors that lead to the experience. Inside is dark, some places seem cozy and the patio is nice. I asked for a booth and was expecting it to be welcoming, instead I’m left w a hard non cushioned dark booth. It is also very poorly lit w lighting only by the wall seat so it’s hard to see the menu without overhead lighting. There are only about four booth in the restaurant but they do have high back to allow for privacy between conversations. The TV’s throughout were mostly sports.
The burger I ordered was brought out fairly quickly and the waitress was polite. I enjoyed the non onion rings, they’re more like onion puffs on the burger. The sweet potato fries were good and unexpected tangy honey mustard was a nice compliment.

People have been telling us to go here for a while, so we finally did yesterday for lunch.
Restaurant is cute. Seems kinda old timey, which is interesting for the location. Not bad just unexpected. Nice. Cute.
Got our drinks, fine. Ordered an app: truffle fries, fine. Tons. Huge plate of fries! The balsamic was an interesting touch. No salt or pepper to speak of, thankfully there was some on the table. Ordered food: started with the Caesar salad. Tastes exactly how I would have made it at home. Everything tasted store bought. Croutons were 100% from the bag. Honestly it was fine, but it wasn’t exciting or new or fresh, it was safe. Tossed well. It was fine. Lobster roll. Delicious. A+. Super filling. Could prob use a bigger roll because it’s messy, but otherwise, great! Chicken club. Fine. This is where I had the biggest issue. The menu described it as “chicken breast, provolone, applewood bacon, and a sun dried tomato pesto mayo.” I’m allergic to tomatoes, so I just asked for regular mayo instead of the sun dried fancy stuff. Sandwich came out with big slabs of juicy tomatoes, and while the presentation was pretty, I’m allergic to tomatoes so I can’t just pick them off (honestly no one should have to pick things off anything at a restaurant). The server took prob 10-15 min to come check on us. They remade the sandwich and it was fine, just kinda stunk to have to wait again. Also sucked for my husband because he is polite and waits til my food is there to start eating. It’s fine. Also not a fan that pickles were put on the plate with no barrier. I know it’s probably shocking to some, but not everyone likes pickles. And without the knowledge that it would be there (it isn’t listed on the menu), I couldn’t ask them to leave it off. The sandwich was actually wonderful, and SUPER filling, just disappointing that the menu didn’t reflect accurate toppings. Overall I think we will be back, especially now that we know what to expect.

First time here and was so impressed. The entry doors are these old wooden ones with the old style knockers. My husband of course had to knock before we walked in and the hostess loved that he did that. She said she doesn’t think anyone had ever done that. Super sweet young lady and she was so welcoming. Wish I had got her name. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the atmosphere. Our waitress, Mya, was one of the best wait staff we have had. She is definitely in our top 10. We both had the summer fare, Carnitas Tacos and Pineapple and mango salsa Salmon. Both were sooooo good. We told Mya it was our first time here and that we will definitely be back.
And Mya – if you see this… the carrot cake was AMAZING! We broke in to it as soon as we got home. Thanks again. 🙂

First time visiting was a 10/10!

I only got a few drinks and some wings as an appetizer but I loved every drink, the service was phenomenal, and the wings were amazing! My bartender, Heather actually let me know they were voted best wings (I can’t remember if it was in the county or what, but they were definitely amazing!) and they have really good ranch!

As for the service, it was impeccable! They treated me just as well and were just as attentive to me as they were to the people who were clearly regulars! Both bartenders, Heather and Christina (I think is her name lol) were more than attentive! It was super refreshing seeing two bartenders work together so easily and happily! I cannot sing them enough praises!

Alot of places seem to have bartenders “competing” or get assigned customers, but at this place it felt like everyone behind the counter was there to help and it was very refreshing!

The atmosphere is super comfortable and cute as well! Kind of rustic but super warm and inviting! I definitely can’t wait to come back again!

And again, I cannot give enough praise to Heather and Christina, they were both more than amazing and are the reasons I will be back!

We are so happy to have found this restaurant! We went for the first time this weekend and absolutely loved it! Everything was spot on, and I’m hard to please!

The wait was short, the atmosphere was cozy and unique, the service was excellent, and every item we ordered was perfect including the cocktails! The brussels sprouts, coconut shrimp, sweet potato fries, steak tips, and clam chowder were amazing. Everything came out hot which rarely happens for me!

They have a wide variety of menu options, and I’m looking forward to coming back! Highly recommend!!

We had dinner on Saturday the 17th at about 4:45. We were seated immediately and were then greeted by our waitress Carrie. She explained the specials and took our drink orders. For an appetizer we had the cheeses potabello mushrooms caps. They were phenomenal. We then ordered our meals, the lobster bisque soup and ahi tuna for myself, and the black and blue sirloin with broccoli and a side salad for myself husband. ALL of the food was delicious. Carrie was very attentive and sooo friendly. We will definitely return. A+ on all counts
