We had an absolutely fantastic experience at City BBQ! From the moment we walked in, everything was spot-on. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly efficient.
The food? Outstanding. The meats were tender and flavorful, the sides were fresh and perfectly prepared, and every bite tasted like it was made with care. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.
The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had a great atmosphere for both families and casual nights out. It’s not always easy to find a place where everything hits the mark — but City BBQ truly delivered.

As someone from Bama, I know BQQ pretty well! I’ve never heard of this place and we decided to stop for lunch after going to the zoo. It did not disappoint! I had the bama chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese and potato salad, it was prolly the best meal I’ve had at a BBQ chain! Facility was neat and clean and staff were super friendly! Can’t wait to come back!

You to pick up and clean up dishes after your food, just like a regular fast food restaurant. So there’s no tipping. However, the quality of the food is great and it’s nice to be able to try different sauces. The interior was as clean as a new restaurant.

I’ve ordered carryout several times and have enjoyed my meals for the most part. I really like the sides (except when they overcook the cornbread, which used to be consistently very good). It wouldn’t hurt also if you reminded your staff to at least acknowledge guests when they walk up to the pickup counter. They make you stand there waiting (carrying on personal conversations) until you say something to THEM. Anyway, I do especially love the banana pudding as well, and order it every time. However, it appears they changed (though slightly) the recipe. It used to (as recent as just a few months ago) have a slight crunch on top with a little caramel (it also has way less bananas then it used to). That has been the difference the past few times I ordered it. But the most disappointing part is that the portion is MOST DEFINITELY less!! It’s barely a half cup now. I’m not sure if I will continue to order it unless you go back to the original portion size. Lack of consistency has hurt many restaurants because consumers don’t know what we’ll get each time, so some will opt NOT to continue to buy that product or patronize your establishment at all. That was actually the reason I only visited your restaurant a few times when you FIRST opened. But I decided six or seven months ago to give you another try, which I didn’t think was a mistake. But if consistency starts to falter again, I don’t know…
