I never had yubuchobap before (that’s the name right?) The toppings and yubu were great! The salmon and eel were so fresh. And amazing flavors. But the rice is supposed to be sticky, right? It was not, and a bit firm, not my favorite. And the counter could have a more welcoming set up, like a bigger menu, some explanation of the product for people who are new (I googled it instead), and a sign that says “pickup here.” That being said, I would eat there again. It was fun food!

First, if you want to know what this is, look up “yubu” and you’ll get it.
I tried the bulgogi beef and the spicy tuna. Both were tasty as all get out. I’m perfectly full after 2 little pockets. They are kind of street taco size, but packed full. There’s no muss- the bottom is packed with rice and the protein is stuffed above and beyond the top, sauce, and a few green onions.
The customer service was great. It’s right at the entrance of the 99 Ranch Market. It’s nothing like I’ve ever seen at any Japanese/Korean place I’ve been to, and I’ve been to A LOT in SoCal. I’m definitely going back for more soon!
