Wolf Creek BBQ is a old fasioned traditional BBQ restaurant with a new age flair. All of our meat is smoked 100% with wood, no gas or electric assist is used in the process. We offer traditional meats such as pulled pork, brisket ribs, & chicken, but also offer other meats such as sliced pork, turkey, and wings. We also offer burgers, briskets, chicken fingers, hot dogs, and more. As far as sides, we offer the expected items such as slaw, brunswick stew, bean, potato salad and fresh cut french fries. In addition to those, we go a little further, we offer less traditional items such as onion straws, fried jalapenos, fried banana peppers, homemade tater tots, and fried banana peppers. In addition, all of our desserts are homemade.

Place was packed at lunch time, always a good sign. About a ten minute wait for us to get a table.
Brisket – The real test of any barbecue restaurant is how well they prepare their brisket. This one was dry. It did not pull apart into the ‘honeycomb’ that you like to see, nor did it sag over your finger into a U. Bark was nice and black, but did not have the salt & pepper taste you expect. Smoke Ring was excellent though.
Collard Greens – on the Specials menu. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, without being too soft. Highly recommended.
Pulled Pork Sandwich – a rather bland meat here. Bun was good, but pork was way under-seasoned. You are certainly going to want to sauce this one up.
Mac and Cheese – homemade, with a great caramelized cheese crust. Not too much flavor, really needed some celery seed to give that classic BBQ M&C taste.
Chicken Wings – juicy, crunchy skin and great color, but again, no seasoning at all. Have you ever had to salt and pepper wings in your life?
Fries – good, similar to those “twice fried” fries at that other restaurant.
Pulled Chicken Sandwich – dry, my grandma hated it. Really needed some seasoning and a few pickle slices.
BBQ Sauce – ‘open pit’ style, so you probably can’t complain.
Toast – just toast, no garlic like a Texas Toast normally is served.
Even though the place was packed, service was absolutely stellar.
Don’t miss the Bowl of take home Dog Bones on your way out.
If you are imagining BBQ like Franklin’s, Black’s or Slows, Wolf Creek is not that… but it seems like with some careful seasoning, they could kick this place into a way higher league.
I loooved how clean the bathroom was and all the decorations. Thank you so much. This place exceeded my expectations.
