Great Music, History and Food. We are part Italian, so we love a good Italian joint. This place is so classy. We all enjoyed our meal. I had Veal Parm, I’m a sucker for veal. The meat was super tender, the portion was huge, and the sauce was spectacular. I had gelato between pizzelles for dessert. Make sure to have a lemoncello after your meal.

Amazing food and outstanding service! The Spinach Gnocchi was an easy 10/10. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

The resturant was a little dated, but cozy and warm. The service was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Chicken saltimbocca, and the chicken was cooked to perfection and tender enough to cut with a fork. The chicken and sauce was a little under seasoned but still very tasty.

Quintessential dinning experience. Trust the staff, get a chef special or recommendation and you will be blown away. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and quality ingredients by the sharpness and depth of every flavor. The environment will transport you to a nostalgic, youthful, and optimistic version of Philly. Loved every second of my meal here.

It was great to eat at the oldest Italian restaurant. The food was great and authentic. It was on my bucket list and it was great that I was able accomplish it. I agree with Matthew Nelson below, the service was strange. I am glad that I had the opportunity, but I probably will not be returning despite the food be great and authentic. Service means a lot to me. It was okay, but not outstanding.

The four of us tried more things on the menu, and always the meatballs. Excellent again. The pow pow pow referenced below was for the mussels. Had clams in white this time not as pow pow but equally delicious.

Excellent all around. Pow pow pow of flavor. Kudos to the staff who carry food up from the basement.

Can I tell you something? This place is AMAZING!! This was my first time experiencing an authentic Italian restaurant . The mixologist Peter was mad cool. He was attentive and easy to talk with. He actually held conversation and gave great service. Some people don’t understand how important it is to give good customer service, Peter was great .

Mark our host/server was awesome as well. He took his time while answering any questions that we had. His personality was cool, he did not make us feel rushed or as though we were bothering him. He added to this great experience.

Now, let’s get into this food!!! As you can see from the photos below, the individual serving size is pretty good. I started with the ceasar salad, no picture because I ate it so quickly . The ceasar salad was delicious and Mark said this was their homemade dressing. I must say that it tastes great . The shrimp linguine was delicious, the pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauce was just right. For my taste, I did add salt as I was eating it. Honestly, I liked that it wasn’t salty or over salted, that way it allows for me to control how much salt is going on my food, just a little bit . The shrimp were cooked just right. The cheese ravioli with the red sauce was amazing. Again the pasta was cooked just right. It was the right balance of sauce to pasta, oh my gosh . The chocolate cake was . The flavors were good and it would pair well with vanilla or chocolate ice cream. The cheesecake was my least favorite. While although I love a great cheesecake with a graham cracker crust, this one lacked something. I don’t know exactly what it was, but I was so excited when I got it. The texture was okay, but it was just missing something. Mark, being kind actually removed from my bill (which I wasn’t expecting). The atmosphere is very nice. I prefer to sit upstairs, versus downstairs. It’s a tight fit, but it’s comfortable. I gave 3 stars, because I’d like to try some more food out to see about consistency. We had a great time and I would definitely go again.

Pretty good food. Very nice place and great service. A little bit of a nicer place, can be pricey but the food is good. I would recommend the black lobster raviolis

When you imagine old school classic Italian, this is what your mind pictures. Wow. Amazing food. Yes…they are the best meatballs in Philly or anywhere. Hands down the best veal parm I’ve ever had. Everyone else with me loved it too.
