WORST ❌ Very disappointed. To start off my friend mistook the drinks menu for napkins and the actual menu was nothing more than a giant napkin either. Very bad and limp pizza, it was mostly oil and the toppings just fell off as soon as i picked a piece up – structural failure! Fish crudo not worth $23 portion size so small. Gnocchi tasted very doughy more so than I’m used to. And the chips we got with the cheese on them they looked like jenga blocks and tasted like microwave macaroni and cheese. Really disappointed with the food didn’t feel worth the price. I do have to say though that the wine selection was great probably so that patrons could get so plastered that they think the food tastes brilliant! Also the staff were very professional and kept refilling our water and thank God for that because we needed something to water down all the blimin oil! But honestly it was so bad we could not finish it and felt sick afterwards. Overall not worth it at all. Will not be back and won’t be recommending.

The space is quite small and compact, which adds to its charm but can feel crowded during peak hours. For a more relaxed and quieter dining experience, visiting on a weekday would be ideal.
The Margherita pizza is an absolute must—simple, classic, and beautifully executed. The heirloom tomato salad, while fresh, leaned a bit too salty for my taste. Service was warm and friendly. And if you’re not typically an ice cream fan, this place might just change your mind—the olive oil gelato was exceptional, and the sorbet was wonderfully refreshing.

It was our first time visit at OMBRA. The staff were friendly, considerate and great service. Thanks to the awesome team. The location being right on the main road was harder to get to but thanks to Wellington advent we finally visited and enjoyed the delicious meals and desserts. We enjoyed the mouth watering boar, grilled pork and market fish dishes. Don’t forget to try out the chocolate salami. It’s a catch.

Have been wanting to come here for ages.Got the shaved asparagus salad, octopus and potatoes, market fish with lemon thyme crust, braised beef and arancini. Everything was amazing although the arancini was a little salty for my liking, but each to their own. Amazing service, attentive but not intrusive. Would love to come back and try the pasta and pizza.

Ombra has been our family favorite since we moved to Wellington 10years ago! We try to go early for their walk ins otherwise highly recommend booking a table. Definitely try their duck risotto, it’s to die for!

Ombra was amazing! The food was so tasty, serving sizes are a bit small but made up for it in quality of food. Staff are incredibly friendly, even gave us some recommendations on where to spend New Year’s eve in Wellywood. Great restaurant, totally recommend!

We are visiting from the states. I was in search for a restaurant that served gnocchi. Being from the PA/NJ/NY area where Italian culture is prevalent in the community in addition to visiting Italy a few times, the pasta here was wonderful. Everything was magnificent!

It’s a lovely place with friendly staff and good service. I wasn’t a fan of the risotto. It was a bit bland and didn’t seem to be made with aborio rice. The rice was a bit hard. The polenta chips were nice and the drink I had delicious. I still recommend going as the menu options looked great and other people’s dishes looked nice. I just lucked out with the risotto.

Delicious dinner! Came in without reservation and sat at the bar.
We ordered the arancini, mushroom ragu, gnocchis and pancetta pizza, everything was delicious, would definitely have it again.
The atmosphere is vibey and the service is really nice.
