I don’t usually go to Mexican restaurants because since I am Mexican, I tend to be critical of the food I try when out. I ordered a bit of both, tacos were good, but the highlight was the quesabirria tacos with the consomé. Super flavorful, meat was juicy and seasoned right, consomé was a bit oily on top (some people like that) but once I got it off, wow. Cilantro and onion was a fair amount. Amazing! Will be back and tell others to try. Glad to have decent Mexican in Arlington Hts. Plan on trying more of the menu. Love the decor and pictures celebrating the people that pick our crops.

I ordered catering service on 12/10/25. We had tray tacos (picadillo and chicken), cebolitas, elote and carnita mexfries. The food was delivered right on the dot. Both tacos were perfectly seasoned and tasted delicious. Grilled onions were a wonderful complement to them. Unfortunately, I cannot say much about mexfries, because by the time I got to the lunch room, they were gone! The only complaint I got from my team is that I should have ordered more tacos! It was an absolute superb experience! Great food! Great service! Appropriate for casual office lunches! Highly recommend and simply cannot wait for another occasion to have some delicious food from Cilantro! Thanks guys!

Food was tasteless. My tacos has no flavor, the 3-taco dinner deal didn’t come with a lime or pickled veg. Or a roasted pepper.
The tortillas were soaked in oil completely, chicken was shredded which is never a good sign in my opinion when eating at a restaurant.
Rice and beans were basic and fine.
Cookie cutter mexican place. Many, many better local spots.

Great new little spot in downtown AH. The food was delish and fairly priced. Service was kind and quick and the atmosphere is really chill. I like the music and vibes. The extra spicy salad is pretty spicy too which was a bonus. Will def be back

My litmus test for a Mexican restaurant is to order a steak burrito, and theirs was fantastic! The burrito was very neat and not a big overstuffed liquid mess like some other places. Steak was good and not greasy. Some might complain that it is too small but I thought the size was perfect. Restaurant had plenty of seating, nice decor, and very clean. I will be coming back to try more things!

Arrived a little after 6:00 pm. Nobody else in the place, still took 30 minutes to get my to go order. 2 taco salads with mild salsa on the side, an order of chillequilles with over easy eggs and a side of pinto beans….
Taco salad shells were half filled at MOST, only a few pieces of iceberg lettuce, and hardly any meat in either one.
Chillequilles came with scrambled eggs, not over easy per order.
Missing the side of pinto beans AND the mild salsa for the taco salads.
If this place were super busy when I was there I would give it another shot. No way is that happening when you mess that many things up and the place was empty.
Burrito Barrilla in Rolling Meadows gives you a ton more food, and actually checks the orders that go out to ensure they’re correct.

Loved it!! As a long time Arlington Heights resident, I always enjoy trying out new places and this is a great addition. The staff was very friendly and the food super fresh! Special shoutout to Estella! I’ll be back!

Awesome spot! The service was super friendly and quick today. Everyone was really welcoming. The food was delicious, especially the tacos, packed with flavor and really fresh ingredients. You can tell they care about quality. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend if you’re craving some solid Mexican food
