I fell in love with Duke’s the moment we drove by it on the highway. At that time I only had a mere taste of what would become an excellent night out with my buddy, Jake. We went to Duke’s on 7 for Valentine’s Day dinner and it was fantastic. I had the prime rib, my partner got the surf & turf special, and we shared a slice of key lime pie to finish — every single thing was delicious.
The portions were huge (we definitely didn’t leave hungry), and the quality of the meat was spot on. Honestly, it was more than enough food for a celebration dinner.
The atmosphere was perfect too — great vibe, and the music wasn’t blasting so we could actually have a conversation without yelling across the table, which feels rare these days.
We’ll absolutely be back… and next time we’re bringing the dogs since they even have a full dog menu!

Stopped into Duke on 7 this Wednesday and had a great experience. We tried the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Brisket Sourdough Sandwich, and both were hits.
The buffalo cauliflower was crispy with just the right amount of heat — super satisfying without being too heavy. The brisket sourdough sandwich was the star: tender brisket, great flavor, and the sourdough held up perfectly.
I even added a fried egg, and that made all the difference in the world — absolutely next-level.
Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere had that easy, relaxed neighborhood vibe that makes midweek stops feel effortless.
Overall, Duke on 7 delivered a solid meal and a great experience. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Awful experience. I used to Love this restaurant. Sara the manager needs to find a job that where she doesn’t work with people. When we arrived for our reservation the patio as you can see in the photos was less than 1/2 full. They somehow lost our reservation and said that the reservation code that we received had no use. So although there were empty table and tables at the end of their meals Sara told us that we would have to wait a half hour to be seated. 20 minutes into our wait she says the only way she can accommodate our party of 5 would be to put a chair at the end of a table. (A table that had been sitting dirty and empty the entire time we had been waiting) No problem. We waited over 10 minutes for a server to come to the table. Although we were given a specials menu with the slushies on it. When I ordered a pineapple whip (I had gotten one at the block yesterday and loved it) the server said we not are doing slushies. So I ordered a Peach Fizz. My daughter ordered the Minnetonka water. They were are out of that. She ordered I think a Banshee. They didn’t have that either. The server said We are going to a drink menu change. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and the server didn’t even bring my husbands tap beer. The food took 30 minutes and if you look at the picture you can see that The pot roast stroganoff had been sitting in the window waiting to the rest of the meals. We have always had good experiences in the past and so we had I guest in from out of town we had no idea. The restaurant had gone so down hill. With all the choices of places we could have taken her we made a real mistake. Never again. I took pictures of the dining room at 8pm and it was so empty for a Saturday night. Looks like others aren’t making the same mistake we did.

I came here with my boyfriend and our two poochies (Lewie and Little Girl) because we heard Dukes on 7 is dog-friendly. The patio is scenic and definitely gives the “relax and enjoy” vibe… except for the fact that it felt like we walked straight into a National Geographic episode called Attack of the Flies. I’ve truly never seen so many in one place. Even Lewie, who normally minds his own business, was trying to eat them out of pure frustration.
On the upside, the food was really good—filling to the point we barely touched our appetizers. The pups loved their muttluff and were knocked out in the car on the way home, which is always a win.
Now, service… our server Kelsey was nice, but the experience was very “meh.” We ordered before another table, yet they got their food first. I asked for my steak “pink” and somehow ended up with a steak that was the poster child for “no pink.” She didn’t check on us until we were almost done, and only then asked if my boyfriend wanted more iced tea—right after boxing up his food. Perfect timing… if the goal was comedy.
To be fair, she wasn’t rude, just… uninspired. Which is why she got a mediocre tip to match the service.
Bottom line: Dogs are welcome, food tastes good, but the flies and the lackluster service knocked this visit down two stars for me. Not a “never again,” but definitely a “bring bug spray and low expectations.”

Good place. The blue fig burger was tasty for me. Vegan chicken was solid. Kid meals were high quality. Beer selection was solid but could use some variety.

My bloody Mary was extremely spicy after asking for the least amount of spice they had, the half order of nachos that were on the happy hour list was nothing more than a handful of chips with ranch dressing and ginger with a taco seasoning, but the Benedict was extremely amazing no matter how you ordered them. I was impressed right away with the openness of the space and the furnishings in the restaurant, beautiful! The salmon quinoa salad was very good, the salmon was cooked perfectly. There was a special summer salad offered, apple, pear, Brie, bacon and candied pecans with a pear vinaigrette. Very light and a great tasting salad. Our server was also friendly and helpful!
