It was my first visiting this place for my birthday and I had just picked out of all the places I saw. We had to wait as there was a long line when we arrived but it wasn’t too long of a wait (25 minutes at most!)
But it was well worth the wait because the food was really good! Very tasty & I ordered the kimchi fried rice, tteokbokki, ginger pork belly, vegetable dumpling, fish cake, beef bulgogi, chicken with ginger, & egg Casserole!

We also had to grill our food on the oven (something I’d only seen in many k dramas & mv’s!) And cut the meat with scissors, and loved that they had kpop music videos playing on the tv in the background! Also an added reason to love this place! The service was very good overall and so worth the price!
I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Oh, and I really loved the bts /kpop poster on the wall in the women’s bathroom. Really added to the whole experience which was a good one for my very first visit!

Staff was also very helpful in explaining the menu & order process, and were very attentive!

I will definitely be visiting again in the near future!

Quality of the meat is good for the 90 minutes you get for all you can eat. No taking food home ofc. So eat it all and order what you can handle. The menu is simple and not overwhelming and there is no stale buffet of sauces or snacks. I like the cleanliness of this place. And the veggie mandoo or dumplings were good as well as the japchae … parking on the street. Park Chicago app. It’s just $2.50 an hour nearby. Quiet and small for a nice calm meal.

It was my first time here and I loved it! It is all you can eat and the portions were a really good size as well. The servers were extremely nice and helpful! There are a couple times when it got busy, they were in a rush but overall amazing service.

Food was great quality and all you can eat for $29.99. There is a mandatory 18% gratuity included in the bill. The total for 2 people was $81 without drinks. The wait time was about 20 min and you can only dine there for about 90 minutes!

Either way, this is a good spot to bring your friends or even a date. Definitely get the Soy Marinated Steak & Veggie Fried Dumplings!!!!!!

A standard KBBQ experience in Chinatown. A decent spot to eat, but there are plenty more options around Chicago. The quality of meat and banchan were good for the price. As someone who eats KBBQ frequently I was not that impressed – But it is a decent spot.

We dined here about a year ago when the restaurant was operating with an à la carte menu and Korean ownership. At that time, it was genuinely a great experience—yes, it was pricey, but the quality justified the cost. You truly paid for what you received, and the food felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared.

Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a complete disappointment and nothing like our prior experience. If we hadn’t already started eating the appetizers, I would have walked out. The quality of the meat was shockingly poor—honestly, not something I would even feed to my dog. The rice tasted reused, and when we brought this to the staff’s attention, we were told it was because it had been “sitting on the table for a while,” which is simply not an acceptable explanation.

Nothing tasted authentic this time around. That impression was reinforced when we looked around the dining room and noticed there wasn’t a single Asian patron present—only a crowd of young diners who may not be familiar with what quality Korean food should actually taste like.

To make matters worse, there is a mandatory 17% gratuity applied regardless of party size, which feels completely unjustified given the decline in food quality and overall experience.

If you’re reading this, I strongly recommend skipping this place and finding another Korean restaurant. What once was a place worth the price has unfortunately become a place to avoid.

Food is terrible. Everything tastes like it was made by someone that has never made Korean food before. Made #1 on my list of worst restaurants ever. I would say to avoid this place because I was extremely disappointed by the slices of fat they serve instead of meat. I am usually not a picky eater, but this was a hard one to enjoy. Customer service is trash due to attitude of the waitress. Also they charge mandatory 18% tip when they don’t even cook for you and are hardly ever around to be found (there were only 2-3 other parties in the entire restaurant). I’ve had bad restaurant experiences before but I’d say this one makes #1. How can you mess up grilling meats… such a simple concept, stay away.

We recently visited Daebak Restaurant in Chinatown with our nieces, nephew, and kids, and it was an unforgettable experience! This is by far my favorite Korean restaurant in Wisconsin. The food is simply amazing and incredibly close to authentic Korean cuisine.

The kids had a blast enjoying the Korean BBQ and the variety of side dishes. I love that they serve so many side dishes, adding to the meal’s richness. The staff was exceptional, greeting us warmly as soon as we arrived and helping us navigate the menu. Our food arrived promptly, which was impressive given how busy the restaurant was.

The atmosphere and setting were also perfect, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Daebak Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Korean meal in a welcoming and vibrant environment!

Unfortunately, Daebak has turned into an AYCE place. The quality of the meats is not worth the price. This used to be our favorite spot, even though it was a bit pricey. The bulgogi was terrible. The corn cheese barely had any cheese.
