Absolutely LOVED everything about this restaurant! The first thing you notice is the open and earthy atmosphere. Then the friendly staff and peaceful vibes. Then the amazing food and drinks that are so great for your soul. It’s a teensy bit pricey but 100% worth it! We took a Lyft because parking didn’t seem feasible, so just a note there.

True Food Kitchen is one of my favorite places in Houston, so when I found it in NOLA I knew it would be a safe bet. Super gluten-free and dairy-free friendly — and delicious! To my surprise, they even had local New Orleans dishes adapted to their style, which I thought was brilliant.
We stopped by in the afternoon, so we shared a gluten-free, dairy-free pizza which, despite my dad’s skeptical look, turned out to be so good he couldn’t stop eating it .
We also enjoyed their classic GF/DF cookies and the pumpkin pie.
It was a bit cold inside the dining room, and our server was handling all the tables alone, yet she still managed to give us great service, and they even adjusted the temperature.
Always recommended!

Pick up order- The side Chicken was good. My kid had that.
Picture shows 2 cookies & got one at a high price- misleading.
Tasted good though.
It is costly. We wanted something lite & healthy.
The shrimp was NASTY. Couldn’t even get it down. Another misleading picture. NOT fresh look NOTHING like side menu pic. My daughter ran in we had an hr. drive home, was working in area. The outside looked so cute was a disappointment!! It was dark assumed was fresh & tasty like menu pic. Took a bite. It was rubber texture & not cleaned with poop shoot. I’m from S.FL & I know shrimp from there & here!!
Tasted terrible, had to spit it out and keep driving no time to go back. Also prices of juice are crazy. Robbery didn’t get a drink. Trying eat healthy on go & see this spot, thought we found a new spot. Spit one out. My kid shared her chicken saved to show. Worst esp being a single mom where the let down also waste $

This place is great, the staff is so thoughtful. Chloe sat me where I could watch the parade through the big windows while I had a quick dinner.
The food was yummy, I had a couple of veggie starters as my meal. Meal the brussel sprouts were a little spicy the way I like it, and the cauliflower really hit the spot with the added texture of the pepitos.
I’m really glad we decided to post up for the parade by this restaurant and I will definitely be back.

It was a nice day, of sales& networking. Never ventured out this way, but this place was suggested by the manager of the place I was showcasing in. I was asked, how I’d like my burger… that to me, makes a difference. My fries were air fried& the sauce on my charbroiled beef patty was tasty. The fries were seasoned, nicely. Will, return on the 25th with friends after my event.

Look, I’m trying to be better about what o eat, so I came here to I could track my nutrition more easily than at other restaurants when I was too busy to cook dinner.

Friends, this was the worst burger I ever had in my life. Flavorless, mushy bun, sad arugula. It’s okay to toast and char stuff to get more flavor on the food—it won’t add calories, promise. Also, this food is expensive! I don’t plan on ever coming back. Serves me right to be lazy enough to not cook for myself. I view this is as lesson to meal plan better in future. This terrible burger was all my fault!

Never coming back. Surly staff, and the interior makes it feel like you could be anywhere.

The True Food Kitchen in New Orleans is very similar to the one in Dallas but the service and Food quality was not good at all. Both excellent choices, but something was off when I ordered takeout here. It was supposed to be ready at 6pm, but when I arrived they were running behind and I needed to wait. I had to wait 30 minutes, so at 6:30 it was finally ready. The salmon I ordered was overcooked and hard enough to pick up to eat. We were disappointed this time and hope it was a one off and not an every day example of the one in New Orleans.

I was stuck staying at the Hilton Riverside for a conference and was DYING for healthy food. I found True Food Kitchen and it revived me. I got the ancient grains bowl with double avocado and added tofu — it was exactly what I needed. My server (Demi, according to my check) was also an attentive delight. Thank you, True Food!

9.6.25 came here for the first (and last time)

The food was very, very Salty which made it unenjoyable and INEDIBLE.

We ordered the guacamole as an appetizer. My bf had the turkey burger, and I had the air fried chicken sandwich. The air fried chicken was breaded…and salty.

All of these items were just too salty to handle.

The building is beautiful and clean, but that’s about the only thing that I can rave about.

They do offer unique drinks.

Skip this place unless you really love salt and sub-par expensive food.

Ordered a vegan butternut squash pizza and it arrived undercooked. It also clearly had real cheese rather than the advertised lemon almond ricotta. When I asked the server, she stated she had already asked the chef about this and he melted the almond ricotta. If you’re vegan, you know you can’t melt almond ricotta to the point of looking and tasting like regular cheese. It was also missing the raisins as stated in the menu.

Have had this menu item so many times at other TFK locations and this was definitely not vegan, and not done right.

Service was incredibly slow and it seemed the server was just not interested in actually helping. We sat without drinks for 20mins and another 15 to get our order.
