Guys… you’ve got to try this place! Admittedly, I’m not a huge fish and seafood fan… I mean, this is the Midwest (where’s the fresh fish even from?)and I was born and raised here. But after living in California for almost 30 years, I learned to like a lot more seafood because it was so fresh, light, healthy and prepared well (not fried, not breaded), either grilled, charbroiled or blackened.
Tonight, everything we had was delicious! We started with fried green tomatoes with creamy cucumber dip. Yum! Then we ordered the blackened trigger fish, seriously out of this world! It was a very nice portion with a salad (and you have a choice of which salad), cornbread and a side of our choice. It was by far, the best fish I’ve had since moving back to Fort Wayne. We also ordered the fish tacos, which I was able to get grilled (they are breaded at almost every restaurant around here, which means they are likely pre-processed), with slaw and pico de gallo. I also added a little bit of their jalapeño tartar, which really knocked it out of the park! We ordered the famous bread pudding for dessert… it was very light and eggy but with a delicious sauce and whipped cream (thankfully, not ruined with any chocolate or caramel sauce). The food is some of the best I’ve had in town! The prices and portion sizes were fantastic!
We had Alexis as our waitress and she was very timely with everything (and not annoying!). She gave us a lot of suggestions as their menu is the equivalent of six giant pages. With such a large menu, even if you are not a seafood lover, there are plenty of other items to satisfy everyone. And there were a number of items that I don’t frequently see served other places; so definitely more entrées for us to try next time.
We arrived tonight (Friday) around 7 PM and the place was packed, with around six or seven parties waiting in the lobby. It took about 20 minutes or so for us to be seated, which was surprisingly fast. The food came out at a really nice pace; we didn’t feel rushed and we weren’t waiting around. The decor was fun and quirky, with a number of cool seating vignettes. Additionally, all of the decor helped keep the ambient noise at a very enjoyable level. For as many people as were there, I couldn’t believe that the volume was so pleasant, we could easily have a conversation at our table.
I would highly recommend checking out this bar and restaurant for a fun, local and lovely evening out!

So this was my first time eating at this establishment, I’m not originally from Fort Wayne and wanted to try something new. Saw the reviews and thought why not looks good. I then came into what I thought would be a 25-30 min wait which I was fine with so I gave them my name and waited. I waited till 50 mins and finally asked what is going on. Only come to find out that the paper receipt they were using to write names down on got thrown away. So they completely skipped over myself and my friend I had with me. So they apologized and we then sat and waited for another 10 mins. We were sitting right up front in their waiting area to where they should have been able to figure it out that we had been there for awhile. So we finally got sat down at a table after 1hr. Then the rest of the time we got our appetizer within a decent amount of time then waited I would say 30-40 mins for our food. So I would not recommend eating here unless if you do a reservation. Then the food was just ok like a 5/10. So overall I will not be coming back. #Dobetter

Just Wow! Grilled trigger fish in Ft. Wayne, IN? So good! Home-made sides that didn’t come out of a food service bulk carton. Great beers on tap. This place rocks! Trisha my bartender/server took great care of me. I thought she was an owner the way she cared for customers! I’d give them 6 stars if I could!

Awesome ambiance and decor with great service. Food didn’t exceed expectations but was good nonetheless. On par for a bar. Strong drinks and a huge and very fairly priced menu!

Wow, what a great place. Best in town, and my new favorite place for vegetarian chili. Surprisingly wonderful seafood and many choices, nice portions and affordable. Staff was cheerful, attentive and truly seemed to enjoy themselves working. We will gladly recommend Lucky Turtle/ Lucky Moose to our many Airbnb guests. Also, thank you FW Wine Club for the invite to join their Christmas Party in the Coconut Club (another surprise at Lucky Turtle). 5 stars indeed.

I’ve visited this place off and on for around 12 years, so I’ll just speak for the most recent experiences. First they have a great variety of dishes-most notable would be the fish and cajon dishes. They really follow through though. Plus they have a great drink menu and a nice selection of craft beers on tap and in bottles. Family owned, and (usually) great service. It can get a bit busy during business hours, but it’d highly recommend going on off-hours.

Came here on 1/30/25 for dinner. Not a bad experience. For appetizer we got the crab cakes.. awesome stuff there!! Then I got Thai peanut chicken. Very different, but enjoyed it. And my friend got the shrimp and grits. Now the grits came as a cake more then what we thought would be a pile of grits. She didn’t really care for her food. Our waitress Casey (don’t know if spelled right) she was great!!! Overall I would say 4 stars for this restaurant. Will try again.

I am extremely disappointed. This is a good place, but our waitress was rude and never showed up. She didn’t let us finish what we were saying before she walked away. She didn’t refill our drinks or check up on us. She was VERY quick to get us out of their. I was very upset with this. It was the woman with a darker washed out red hair. Extremely upset. Please have some sort of talk with her or something. I was looking around for her, we made eye contact and she shook her head and walked the other way. We felt very rushed. We only got one cup of water and she never came back to check on us. When we ate our food we had no water. I watched her go check other people, but not us. When we were just ready to go she gave us the receipt and stood their, waited for the card, and came back. First time she was actually there quickly. You can tell she wanted us out.

Service, food was really good. A little bit of a bummer as I ordered shrimp and grits but somehow instead of grits it was on a piece of corn bread. Still ate it because it was good. But would have liked to have had the grits.
