Unfortunately, we didn’t care for anything we ordered. We ordered 10 wings with garlic parm on the side. We paid an extr$1.50 for flats and they gave us a mix of breaded wings. The breading tasted like unseasoned panko and the garlic parm was not tasty at all and didn’t dip after 1st taste. The bartender took back order to get the rest of the flats. We didn’t bother to finish the wings. We also ordered a house salad and for some reason, that didn’t taste good either. I can’t explain why. Maybe the lettuce. (I eat salad every day.)

We did like the ambiance of the place. The bartender was nice. I wish this could’ve been a better review, but I’m being honest.

I’ve been to several Fricker’s locations countless times, and the food is consistently fantastic—crispy boneless wings tossed in garlic parmesan or honey BBQ, juicy grilled steaks, curly fries that are perfectly seasoned, and even the kids’ options like mac n’ cheese hit the spot every time. It’s hearty, flavorful pub grub that never disappoints.
That said, our recent visit to the Maumee location was ruined by the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any Fricker’s. Our server, Brandy, was incredibly rude and unfriendly from start to finish—no smiles, abrupt responses, and she seemed annoyed by basic requests. It’s a shame because the atmosphere and menu are usually spot-on, but this left a bad taste. Management should address this to keep loyal customers coming back. 3 stars overall—5 for food, 1 for service.

Terrible food tonight. There was multiple mangers in duty. This is not worth $9. I get the same order everytime I come to this location. This was the worst food I’ve ever gotten. A half scoop of chill and a quarter spoon of cheese?

My husband and I traveled from Michigan to Ohio for a date-weekend away. This is the first restaurant we ate at upon arrival and my oh my the workers were friendly and professional the atmosphere was very welcoming and the food was the delish!!! My goodness our dishes were prepared with love and tasted so ridiculously good. There is no way that food should of tasted that good LOL LOL.

Our waitress “Brooke” was a great waitress!!! She is the epitome of what a great waitress looks like…very professional and attentive!!!

If the world had more people like Brooke the world would be a much better place.

If you are in the Maumee, Ohio area and looking for a great place to eat Frickers is the place!!!

I decided to do the 5 Day Special at Frickers (Maumee). Yes, I ate at Frickers five days in a row. I’ve been to the Toledo spot but this was my first time ever at this one.
Sunday they had the Parkour Chicken Special. It was some crunchy chicken tenders with your choice of side and some dipping sauce.
Monday, it was boneless wing night. 10 boneless wings for a little less than $8. I got a side with it too. Some green beans.
Tuesday was wing night, 10 wings for $8.90.
Wednesday was steak night. You get a sirloin steak, one side and a dinner roll for $8z
Thursday was chicken chunk night. You get a plateful for lightly breaded, boneless, chicken bites for $8.
My favorite night was either two wings nights. Steak night was awesome BUT I’m still learning the art of steaks. I’m still learning how to order a steak in regards to what cut. The Sunday night special was really heartwarming as it’s the closest I got to feeling like I was eating a Sunday dinner ☺️.
I also tried the potato skins, baked beans, brew fries, and baked beans. Everything was delicious.
The beer collection at the Maumee spot was robust. Maybe Frickers, should do “flights” so customers can try the all the beers with asking for a taste.
Frickers has to be my favorite regional spot in Metro-Toledo. Perhaps my favorite period. Just like with the Toledo location, the staff at the Maumee spot are cool ass Hell, friendly, and nice. From Sunday-Thursday all the bartenders were cool as Hell. I sat at the bar each night and they all were down to Earth, attentive, and resourceful. Mad props to the dishwasher. He’d come out and make small talk as he restocked clean dishes. He’s a very charming, hardworking guy and I feel like he’s a mascot for the establishment; like everyone knows him and looks forward to speaking with him. The patrons are cool too.
They have a digital jukebox “TouchTunes” plus a small arcade to the side for the kids.
Frickers also isn’t here just carpetbagging. They have a lot of decorations up dedicated to local sports, organizations and the like. Plus they break off local schools and stuff. Frickers is a not just a business but a partnership with the local community.
Doing this five day Frickers challenge wasn’t even a challenge…it was pure fun and I always walked away happy and full.
Only suggestion is to get some more merch in! I’m tryin to cop a hoodie and some shirts in Large….MANE!

We had a horrible experience at this Frickers location this weekend. We waited an absurd amount of time for our food, and during that entire wait our waitress never checked on us or offered refills. When we finally addressed it, the manager came over and was incredibly hostile. Instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation, he immediately got defensive and AGGRESSIVE with us. It was completely uncalled for and extremely inappropriate behavior for a manager!! Very disappointing experience overall, and not what we expect from Frickers.

HORRIBLE COLD FOOD! I did take out but i came in and talked to the host with my man and we placed our order. The chicken tenders were cold and they don’t even look appealing, the fries i asked to be cooked crispy and I heard the host tell the cook to make them crispy and they were soggy and cold! I called the restaurant about my MISSING MAC AND CHEESE and asked for a refund and he (the manager)said could only give me $10 off my next order but there will never be a next order. My man ordered the wings and they weren’t that good either. NEVER EVER COMING BACK! DISGUSTING COLD MISSING FOOD! I want a full refund, couldn’t even eat my food! Absolutely ridiculous!!! Paid over $30 for food that wasn’t even hot enough to eat. Not even warm! So bad, like really bad. And then it wasn’t even good. Literally wasted money.

Back in the days (the 1990s) I thought Fricker’s was one of the best places in the entire Toledo area. I love Buffalo wings, and Fricker’s was famous for their wings. Nowadays, time has taken its toll on Fricker’s Maumee. It is one of those hold-outs from yesteryears, but I suppose there is something refreshing in that continuity. It seems like South Toledo has several of these old establishments that I remember well from the 80s and 90s. Wing quality consistency needs a lot of work. I have been recently disappointed here in that regard, and that’s really the only reason I go here. As you can see in the photos, if you get something other than wings, expect the portions and quality to be low. The decor – sports and cheap beer paraphernalia Flair. If you have a friend that is discerning, and particularly enjoys hot dogs with ketchup complimented with a Bud Light, then Fricker’s Maumee will probably satisfy him. This is not an indictment on all Fricker’s locations. I will be writing a separate review for Fricker’s downtown Toledo, which I consider the superior alternative.

Stopped for a quick dinner & everything hit the spot! Fried shrimps in the hot sauce— our personal favorite. Mia provided excellent service & was on top of our refills!
