The food was really delicious. The staffs are really friendly and explaining the dishes really good. We loved the good and i am sure will recommend this to my friends. I must say, it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was cozy, the service was impeccable, and the food was simply divine. I particularly loved the creative dishes and the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. Can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable dining experience!

Tonight they don’t deserve any stars! My family and I ate here for my niece’s birthday. About 12 people were in attendance. The service was terrible. There was no problem seating us but when it came to bringing out drinks and food, nothing was done in a timely fashion. When my brother was trying to decide on his drink, she actually said “I don’t have all night . I have other people I need to get to.” My brother is deaf and didn’t hear her. I was at the far end of the table and was freaking livid! My aunt explained to the server why he couldn’t hear her and she slowed down to get his order. The appetizers came out about 5 minutes before the entrees. We ordered Indian dip and spinach dip. No one enjoyed them. They looked and tasted like they had been microwaved. Both dishes were full when we left. The entrees were hot. No one really raved about their meal. We were there for almost two hours and never once received a drink refill. As a matter of fact, after she brought our food, she NEVER came back to the table. The entire staff ignored us. I requested chips, TWICE, to go with my meal, she didn’t bring them. I ended going to get them myself. She didn’t even bring the check. When I asked why did we have to pile up front to pay for our food, she said it was easier because there were so many of us. We had to get our own napkins and to go boxes! This is the absolute worst service I’ve ever received. I used to enjoy going to El Cancun. I will never patronize this establishment again! I didn’t mention my niece’s birthday again because they apparently don’t do anything special for birthdays. I told the hostess and server about it. Do yourself a favor, enjoy Mexican cuisine somewhere else! El Cancun clearly doesn’t appreciate their customers. She definitely didn’t earn the 18% automatic gratuity on the $250+ ticket. Had she done her job, she would’ve received more than that. I told anyone who left money on the table to take it back!

I know the food here is great and maybe this night was my choice…I had the carne asada and the meat was a little tough. The salsa with the chips was a spicy one which I love spicy but not over taking my palate for the rest of the meal. So this night was a miss for me on menu selection. I would still recommend the drinks are awesome.

Loved this place! Food and service was really good! Went to celebrate my husband’s bday since his favorite cuisine is mexican and loves trying new places. He was happy with the service. Our server Karina took really good care of our table and service was excellent! 5 stars to her Would definitely recommend this place to others as well.

We have visited El Cancun for years. This last trip we took there will be our last. Now if you’re eating with 4 people, they automatically apply a 18% MANDATED tip to your bill. We went on Sunday 11/09/25 and ordered with 4 separate tickets/bills. Once we had completed our meal we asked the server for the bill. She stated they no longer give out a paper bill but rather they would have it ready at the front register. We went up to the front and the RUDE assistant manager (older, chunky, female) had a LONG receipt waiting on the counter. She refused to give us each a copy but rather had us call out to her what every person had ordered. She then calculated how much each of us owed and then factored in their MANDATORY 18% tip for each of us. I will not support a business that FORCES someone to leave a tip even if the service was not great. Again, we have been going here for more than a decade and it was never like this. At the end of your meal they would give you a bill and YOU CHOSE HOW MUCH TIP TO LEAVE YOUR SERVER. I guess the owners have gotten greedy and rather than increase server wages, they are forcing the customer to compensate their lack of wages by mandating a tip.

We tried El Cancun on Cherry Road for the first time and it was excellent! We were immediately greeted when we walked through the door and we asked to sit outside on the patio! When you sit down they give you chips and salsa before you order which was nice. The waitress we had was very timely and did such a great job, everything we asked she either got for us or answered for us! The food was soo good! We ordered 3 chicken tacos and a fajita quesadilla, and our group ordered two amigos, ACP, and Chimichonga’s and EVERYONE said their food was excellent! Probably the best Mexican food we’ve had in Rock Hill thus far and Highly recommend trying then out if you haven’t yet!

First time there, a nice cozy place, inside seatings and outside patio, its nice for mid size groups. The service was good. I did not order food but seems everyone who did was happy with it, and I noticed the service was fast. I would recommend this place. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but they have an empty lot beside it.

To me, the quality of the food is the most important thing. Here, it is slightly above average. Not the best Mexican fare in the Rock Hill area, but not far from it. The portions are substantial, and the prices are in line with the quality and quantity. The service was fine. Nothing special, but not bad. But that can change so readily, I never make a decision based on that factor unless it is horrible. However, the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. If I am a laborer with an hour for lunch, and I want something that fills me up quickly, this place would be on my list. In other words, there is nothing fancy about this place.

I wish I taken a picture of my food. I ordered the El Cancun Burritos with beef. It came looking like a plate of beans and rice with a salad. I dug through the toppings to find what looked like 2 taquitos instead of 2 Burritos. Tortillas weren’t great and I ended up leaving my entire meal minus 2 bites. Other than that, service was excellent
